Lovely staff, not to far from the centre Would definitely use again :)
Question is: what do I like? Answer is: cheap only perk
Unclean bedsheets, walls and dirty wet towel
Staff and that they waited for us to arrive even though we were going to be late
Friendly staff Good pub grub Would stay again
Lovely food, tea and coffee facilities in all rooms, on site security and 24 hour access to room.
Shared toilet blocked up easily and the shared shower temperature only just got lukewarm, no hotter.
Clean Comfortable Staff were friendly Good sized rooms
We stayed on new years eve as we went out but some of the other guests were really noisy. When I tried to call the number of the hotel nobody answered, so we were unable to sort out the situation. This was the only problem with the hotel.
Location - close to belford row and town centre by foot
Thin walls - loud group next door
Got the last room which was a little tired but perfectly ok, warm and my best sleep all trip. Staff went out of their way to get me to the game by taxi and printed a map with directions to get me 'home' after the match. Good southampton memories.
It was excellent from start to finish. Staff very helpful food was good. Thanks to the staff made us very welcome all the time we was there. Facilities good and parking good. Easy to walk into centre
No hot water after six pm. No heating in room. Quilts too thin/ cold. Mattress uncomfortable. Draughty window.
Friendly staff willing to help. Shared bathroom but it was always clean a available. The food was very good and affordably priced. I have no complains. I gladly stay there again.
Free parking and Wifi :-)
Bad shower. One day with cold water!!
Clean, comfortable, staff friendly and accommodating, value for money
Found duvet a bit thin. Could have done with a blanket in the room for extra warmth. (But I do suffer from the cold!)
Location and good sized carpark. Easy check in and out. Friendly welcome.
The room smelt of damp - almost like wet dogs. Changing the carpet may help as it was one of the grabbiest I've seen in a long time.
Nothing that we liked about the hotel, we were embarressed to say we stayed there.
Wine was cheap cleaning standards were shocking, the rooms were old fashioned and very worn out situation of my mums room looked like temporary accommodation, my husband and I had to have single beds that could not be changed in to a double, toilet facilities were grubby and poor water supply, horribly cheap toilet paper
Staff were lovely. Good location for where we were headed.
Outside light poor. Room layout bad. Outdated could do with a revamp. Bed was umcomfy with a spring sticking in my back all night.
- quick waltz in and out, no unnecessary fuss, - lots of channels in the TV in the room, - included instant coffe and tea in the room (very handy), - very kind staff, especially at the bar :)
- entrance unsecure, basically anyone can go into the hotel because the main door is being kept open by a brick that blocks it from locking-up (only during a day but that is when the guests are usually out of their rooms anyways)... - soviet-style WC and bathroom (but kept clean), - location is good only if you have a car, no shops are within reasonable walking distance.
Price, staff, clean
Very noisy due to location
Good food and plenty of it and served hot. Excellent
Little bit dated but clean
Breakfast finished at 8. Not informed at check in.
The staff were ok, we were greeted on arrival by a very nice gentleman.
The room was freezing, no blankets or heater available, just offered a table cloth sized piece of sheet each as extra. Pilot light had blown out apparently. No radiators came on in our rooms til about 1am, we all went to bed with jumpers on and our coats over the duvet. The other clients were noisy til about 1am but fair enough as our rooms were over the bar, I won't make that mistake again. Due to the cold and noise we were all tired from lack of sleep the following day. No plug socket anywhere near the mirror on the wall which made drying hair a nightmare.
The hotel was very convenient for us because our daughter lives round the corner
Did not get any sleep put next to laundry room washing machines going in the night woken early hours could not get back to sleep will not stay again
Staff friendly. Double room large, clean and beds comfortable. Location well within walking distance of town centre.
Single room small and cramped. Shared bathroom.
