Bedroom and breakfast
Loved the mynt suite decor. Food was lovely and well presented. Good value for money. Staff were friendly. Lovely location on lake. Ample parking.
Very noisy room, chairs scraping on bar floor went on until midnight. Very rowdy 50th birthday party spoilt one night of our stay. Swearing and arguing and smoking right outside our suite window which came through and smelt our room out. Toilet seat was broken. Sheets a little bit grubby. Wifi doesn't work so no signal or internet whole weekend. Staff couldn't help with this...said it was 'dodgy' and 'probably wouldn't work'.
The food was delicious, manager very friendly, the hotel has a lovely atmosphere, old with lots of history.
Bedroom right next to and slightly below car park level so very noisy late on Friday night as attached pub was emptying. Breakfast service very slow, very limited choice of anything other than cooked breakfasts.
Innovative food and friendly staff, Lovely atmosphere
Nice view of the Lake.
Rooms poor, matress cheap, bathroom lacking shelves for toiletries or hooks for towels, wet room shower was a good description- water everywhere over the floor. No cupboard in room for clothes, just 3 hooks and 2 hangers on the wall. Bedside tables were wine boxes. Noisy at night and morning with staff leaving and arriving in their cars. Finally the food was almost uneatable, no milk for coffee or cereals, the cereals consisted of a small amount of Coco Pops only. A breakfast our previous nights order of Bacon sandwiches could not be fulfilled as the Chef had run out of Bacon!!!
Good staff, big bed great shower
Beautiful building looking out over a lake. Our room was comfortable, but not the one I had booked, which was disappointing. Breakfast was good and the staff were excellent.
Some aircraft noise. No teabags in the room!
I thought the scenery was amazing. The location was very quiet I would definately stay again. The staff were amazing and very friendly, made us feel really welcome. The breakfast was delicious.
Nicely decorated rooms, in a building away from the pub, so quiet and peaceful. Lovely outdoor terrace for drinks by the water. Excellent breakfast included in the price
If I was looking for something to criticise, the room was quite small (but comfy!), and the TV was a bit naff, but didn't really bother me.
The food is great, nice range of real ales, bar prices reasonable, staff always friendly, quirky and lovely building and setting
Have stayed 4 times now and each time whilst the breakfast itself is great they are slow to get going in the morning - doors opening late and breakfast arriving after 20 minutes
The food, the white hot chocolate and the lake
Decor, layout and bed size were brilliant and a nice shower Surrounding location is beautiful right on the lake
Too hot In the room not enough ventilation in the bathroom and breakfast starts too late on a Sunday very dissapointed we had to leave before we could eat it
Great setting & lovely bar. Rooms nicely decorated
Slow service in the pub. Was told we could get breakfast to take away as we needed to leave early but then found we couldn't.
The location alongside the lake was very pleasant. and the hotel had plenty of character.
The approach driveway did have rather a lot of potholes and perhaps needs attention. Not enough space to hang clothes.
Certainly location, staff, variety of wine. Food was ok but perhaps a little too nouvelle cuisine.
The noise from the bar area above the bedroom. There was constant noise from chairs/furniture being moved and from staff presumably clearing up at the end of the night. The noise continued until probably 12.30 am on our stay and started about 6.30 am the following morning. It really was impossible to sleep with this going on. Our room was Mynt and it may well be that there are other less noisy rooms.
Location! Food! Delicious. Wonderful breakfast over looking the lake. Great service, friendly staff. Cosy room, clean and comfortable. Surprisingly quiet for a room situated under the pub/restaurant. Shabby chic style, although very modern shower room. Really enjoyable stay. Would recommend.
From the photos, I thought that our room was going to overlook the lake. No rooms had lake views and are situated underneath the restaurant/pub. Very, very low ceilings enroute to our room (which is not a problem if you are under 5ft 4, but my husband is 6ft 6). Didn't spoil the stay, but I would have loved a lake view from the room.
Member of the team Stuart, very helpful after dinner arrived an hour and half late, Location
See thro curtains adjacent to the carpark, in the alluminja room, Irish coffee which was un drinkable and replaced with half a lager , A bathroom which shower floods the room and stinks it all out of damp, Kitchen above room with unthinkable noise at night and morning
Staff was accommodating location and hotel was beautiful very friendly and pleased wuth service. Thank you will definitely come again!
Cleaner was rude
Excellent location, food was good, comfortable surroundings and stunning summer views.
The toilet seat in Mynt. Seemed to be posessed by a physcotic entity; every time myself or my partner sat down, it was like a Thorpe park ride. Needs to be replaced and staff were aware of it previous to my comments.
Location great. Lunch on the lake lovely. Some staff incredibly helpful, others very indifferent.
Hot weather meant the smell of the lake affected the rooms and they were uninhabitable. The Koper room shouldn't really be let out as a room as you have a view of the staff car park where they come for fag breaks, and it reeks. Would be good if dead of winter so you do not need to open a window or even the curtains. Otherwise, I would not stay in this particular room.
Lovely setting - lovely building - very friendly staff and great breakfast. Lots of thought has gone into what the guests would need - a bottle of water and nibbles, good quality toiletries if needed.
Not sure about the fact that there was not a wardrobe - great for a couple of days but could be a problem if staying a week as there was only a row of coat hooks with a couple of coat hangers.
Brilliant location next to scenic lake . Close to Gatwick very convenient for arriving late at night. Wonderful Food Breakfast must be one of the best to be found loved the place will try and return for a longer stay next time
Nothing fab place !
Returning visit. It is clean and comfortable and with great food in nice destination.
Very new and inexperienced staff and could not cope with big booking. Toilets in pub could not cope with volume of people
No wardrobe Less than adequate bed Noise levels in main areas No heating No shaver sockets
