Made most welcome. Meals excellent handy for public transport.
Poor lnternet connection
The staff were friendly and helpful nothing was too much trouble we wre very impressed by them.Food was also very good
The building and all the facilities were poor run down old and jaded. the tv picture broke up the wifi was intermittent the furniture and decor were run down.
Food was very nice Host were lovely
Serves probably the best breakfast bacon in Scotland, most hotels on our trip served cardboard and called it bacon, this was the real thing and a pleasure to eat.
Price is too high for this level of hotel, it is miss leading you to think it is more than a tierd guesthouse.
Nice walk into the township along the promenade which is not far. Close to the waterfront. Easy to find.
Tried to help find my parents old domestic service employer from 70 years ago. Room size. View. Quiet. Cleanliness.
Room size. Location. Views. Cleanliness. Breakfast. Owners/staff
Bed in R1 large and comfortable Good to sit out on balcony in the sun Breakfast good
Restaurant closes at 7.30pm on a Sunday. Cigarette butts on balcony Shower a little small
Relaxed and friendly atmosphere almost a home from home. Nice gardens. Excellent breakfast.
No glasses/plastic holders in bathroom
Comfortable but nothing special
good friendly staff and a warming facility that made you feel like home.
Nothing couldn't have been a better stay.
The friendliness of the owners and staff. The food served was very good indeed.
As a mature couple(one disabled)the stairs are always a problem.
Breakfast was brilliant served on lovely roasting warm plates & lots of it.It was clean & staff were lovely & friendly. The hotel had a nice atmosphere.
I thought the furniture was very old fashioned although the curtains & lamps have been replaced with modern ones.I also thought the price was quite expensive for the room we had. 2 Gin & Tonics were £8 at the bar.
Very friendly hosts, super food n hard working n helpful staff always with a smile
The room we had was a good size and the bed was clean and quite comfortable. Breakfast was fine.
The toilet was exceptionally small and was in need of the corners cleaned. In fact the whole hotel was in need of a of a spring clean.
Good location and excellent breakfast.Staff very helpful.
Room at the rear ok bit small, but very light.Could do with blackout blinds or heavy curtains
This was a gift for my sister and brother in law and they were very happy the had a fantastic stay the owners were great and they went out their way to make sure this was a gift to enjoy I would recommend this hotel.
The staff and food were excellent
The hotel needs some updating as it looks in a rather poor condition
Good location. A walk to town.
The property is very tired. The stairway carpets is theard beare. Cobwebs on bedroom ceiling. Light fittings torn. There was a noise in the wall cavity "dripping sound" all night. Run out of hot water during shower. Dirty mugs on breakfast table. They were replaced when it was brought to their attention. Definitely not value for money.
The friendly staff, fantastic food, and a great Scottish breakfast to start your day. Recommend the room with the four poster bed and balcony.
Suggest a neon sign showing the hotel off when driving past otherwise nothing we didn't like.
Very friendly and attentive staff
More attention to detail eg balcony floor wasn't as clean as it could have been and the chairs were a little tired looking
The four poster bed was really comfortable. Breakfast was excellent and the staff all really helpful
The bar was very dated and could have done with an update with some reading lamps and cosiness. Also shower very outdated and slow. In this day and age all hotels at this level should have power showers. Sky sports would have been a nice plus factor but its not essential.
Needs some upgrading.
Great location. Staff are lovely, breakfast superb, great parking and very homely
No information leaflet about hotel in bed room, be nice if each room had a leaflet with meal times, breakfast times on and maybe local taxi numbers etc, just a bit more info in rooms. Also, no fire escape info on back of doors in bedroom?
