Friendly helpful staff and clean welcoming ground floor bar area
Having to enter and exit via fire escape into back alley. Bed not comfy and single glazed Windows did not keep out the noise from the busy road and bars nearby. Room a little dated and shabby
Clean, simply furnished room with ensuite shower - just what we needed.
Beds a little basic but a minor consideration for a short stay.
Location, very friendly staff
Needs new mattresses
It was nice and clean. The staff were always there to help.
The opening times in the morning (11:00) because I was always out earlier ( you could use the alternative exit) and the fact that my room was too much near the road and at times you could hear some people putting pedal to the metal at the junction and making the engines roar (why did they want to do that)
good location on edge of pedestrian section of city centre. railway station within 30 minute walk of here. pleasant helpful staff. reasonable priced drinks. clean tidy hotel
few items in room needed sorting, broken lampshade and lamps not working, but to be fair didn't mention it to owner so cannot really complain. could have done with few more pillows but again didn't mention it
Good location, friendly staff, good beers, clean and tidy.
can be a bit noisy at night and could be better if did breakfast.
The price and the shower was good.
The nightclub next to the hotel. I can appreciate that you are in a city centre but the music and shouting goes on until 0400. I was under the influence of drink and I still couldn't sleep. I would only stay here if you are planning to stay out really late.
Very friendly and curteous staff. Excellent location. Rooms are clean and spacious. Would definitely stay again
Easy to find and close to where we went
Light flooding the room as we couldn't close the blind and there were no curtains
Connecting door to next room could hear them caughinh all night also they could see into our room where the beds were through the key hole The beds were so uncomfortable The room door could only be locked by a key so felt unsafe locking it while trying to sleep incase of fire The noise from outside was terrible Would not stay here again
We visited Leeds for a night at the comedy club Jongleurs. The location of the Wrens was perfect - 2 minutes walk away. After the club we got settled in at the bar at the Wrens. We had planned to venture out further but were so comfortable in the Wrens bar we stayed in it all night. A wonderful stay.
Hot room on very noisy main road without fan.Poor internet.
Location was fab staff very helpful and bed was great very comfy tea and Coffey complimentary late night entrance well lit
Room was dusty decor was old shower didn't work
location good for the city.
very basic accommodation, needs updating. Poor access out of hours and no breakfast facilities
Close to city center.
Bad experience overall. The bathroom was dirty and the beds were very uncomfortable. Noisy street. Really regretted it and would not recommend it.
Great location in Central Leeds. Ideal for the universities and a night out if you are so inclined. A bit noisy but can't beat the location.
I had to go to Leeds for a concert and was shocked at cost of hotel rooms. This was the cheapest I could find in the town centre area. I'm used to staying in Paris and Rome and I always get away with paying two thirds of what I paid for this room. The only good thing I can say about this place is that it is very central.
It's not really an hotel - more of a pub with rooms above it. The room and bathroom were quite large and looked reasonably smart but the shower was falling apart. I couldn't check in before 2 which was a bit inconvenient although they did offer to take my bag off me. When I got in the stairwell looked like they were still cleaning rooms with bags of towels littering the stairs....it still looked the same the following morning. But my main gripe was that there seemed to be a nightclub outside my window (which was on the 2nd floor) and even after midnight it was blaring. Outside of pub hours the only way in or out of the room is via the fire escape leading to a grotty courtyard and a gate round the back of the building. The wardrobe is very small and neither bedside lamps worked. Very poor value for money.
Friendly staff, good facilities, well located, very reasonable price
Convenient location, walls, lockable door, windows, curtains, colour television.
The noise from the Belgrave Music Hall next door is impressive, even for someone who lives on a main road. Perfunctory service.
Very good staff, accommodated my request for a hair dryer, good bar downstairs, excellent location (close to the event we were attending at the arena). Good water pressure in shower.
The wifi signal did not reach up to our room, so the only way to get it was in the bar or sitting on the stairs in the hallway. Also, the mattress was not terrible but fairly uncomfortable.
If you're going to first direct arena this place is perfect, literally around the corner and about five mins walk from the train station!
Great location : )
Hi we stayed in room no 8 and thought it was great, Like a home from home very comfy clean, Loved it Thank You.We will be coming back in december when Madness are on at the First direct.
very good bar and very central for lots of things from shopping to arena's.
well were do we start.took a member of staff to room to show how much dust was in drawers.mold on bathroom wall.broken bathroom window.i have stayed in hotels from ibis to the Waldorf in london and many more.even travelodge is better than this.they need to revamp 1 room at a time to impress future new guests.then this hotel would be worth staying at.
The noise Uncomfortable beds
