When we first got to the room it was very cold but after some playing about with the rad it was nice and warm the room was clean and bed was very nice there was a wedding there and food was about hour which you could understand there was no room for you to just chill like some there hotels we been to beautiful views the menu didn't have much choice which is a petty I can't understand why people said full of flies the room was very clean I would stay there again
The Alpaca in the field next door, The Location was excellent
Characterless hotel with young staff unable to even check us in easily, shower could have done with a spray of bleach to kill off the black mould, we had room 2 which smelled stale when you opened the door, the full English could have been better, not very tasty, no options offered for type of egg etc.
Lovely hotel and not enough staff and need help people carry case to the stairs.
The evening food not enough same menu every day need something different for every day.
Really quiet location. Good facilities and friendly staff.
Receptionist friendly good view from room
The chicken was hard. Room very basic
Lovely location in the countryside but easy to get to shrewsbury.
Bed was hard and creaky floorboards
The location was excellent
The room was not a representation of pictures on the web- the bed looked shabby- the valance appeared grubby. The noise levels were awful- you could hear every single footstep/cough/ conversation as if it were in your room. The restaurant looked out dated and they had run out of stuff for breakfast
The staff were very helpful, friendly and efficient The food was well cooked and nice presented It was excellent value for money
Every movement from the room above resulted in creaky floorboards. Fortunately we had earplugs and so we're not kept awake The receptionist said that they were aware of the problem and that remedial works are a possibility.
The view from our room was lovely , the staff at the hotel was helpful, places to go not far away and food excellent.
Non 24 hour reception
Location Very comfortable beds
Noisy evening and limited access to bar due to wedding reception. Room a bit dirty
Breakfast was quite good. Convenient for wroxeter vineyard
Rooms nothing like website and with low quality furnishings. Shower was dirty. Reception staff unfriendly. Orange juice at breakfast heavily watered down. Hotel looks tired and in need of modernisation.
That this was not the relaxing week end that we had planned. There was a wedding function which took over the hotel, we felt like intruders in all the main area's and had to go out of the hotel in the early evening, to get away from the bustle and noise. There wasn't even any vacant seating to sit outside to have a drink. Room was also very disappointing, for the price paid we did expect a shower. Also we were close to the function room, consequently we could hear the thud of the wedding music until 11.30pm. This hotel puts profit in front of customer satisfaction, otherwise they would have informed us in advance that there was a wedding booked which would have given us the choice of going to a quieter hotel.
friendly reception staff and lovely breakfast.
Plumbing extremely noisy in the room i stayed in. i could hear the people upstairs walking around and using the bathroom!!! not pleasant!!
The staff were very friendly and the hotel was clean. The food was excellent and the location is very beautiful which is why we would consider going there again, albeit maybe in the winter time!!
No air conditioning Shower in the room barely got the soap off as it was just a trickle. Two of our main choices of wine were unavailable and we had to settle for a less favourable wine.
