Really pleasant staff who allowed me to check in really early after a long drive for a funeral that day.
Breakfast really disappointing. Choice not bad but quality of cooked breakfast not great.
Staff were great and very friendly. Food was excellent.
room was a little dated, personally prefer more modern set up.
Michelle - who took my call late Christmas Eve and assured me they had room, I was welcome to check in early and on arrival was friendly and on account of my having had a rotten experience at Farthing Hotel, had put me in a lovely large room with a lovely sash window with views out onto the lawns at the back of the hotel which stretched into fields filled with ponies and lovely valley views. She also handed me a welcome gift of chocolate and went to every effort to make my stay comfortable and happy. I also loved the spacious room, large bathroom, BRILLIANT breakfast (included in the price) and the general ambience of the hotel - modern but charming. Recommend this to any travellers (solo, leisure and business) passing through Yeoville most highly! Thank you for making a bad start to Christmas into a wonderfully welcoming experience Michelle and team!
That I had not booked my WHOLE break here from the start ;-)
I was upgraded. Staff excellent
could not do enough for you excellent
WIFI was very good, free and fast. The staff were all very friendly and attentive. Would use again.
The bed was slightly too hard. The shower was VERY loud but both minor niggles to be honest.
It was all good except for..........
I do not like folk holding loud conversations on their mobile phones whilst I am trying to relax and enjoy the food in the dining room. On this occasion, one man was on his phone continuously for 45 minutes to the same person, telling the world how his day went (I didn't want to know) and he left the dining room still talking to that one person. Telephone conversations such as this should be private to all concerned.
Location Good for Yeovil. Staff very helpful, room good size and excellent breakfast.
The food. Dinner and breakfast offerings were excellent both from point of view of variety and preparation. The dining-room and bar areas are the highlight of the hotel. Apart from the music.
This place just didn't 'click' with me. The room was somewhat soulless - and the advertised photo of the bathroom to go with the 'Luxury Double Room' bore no relation to the small, dingy one I was given. The site-billing lists 'free newspapers' - these were not free (the fact that I only received it on one out of three mornings, because 'the garage was closed' (midweek) at least saved me having to pay! Wifi connection was lost on the 3rd day - querying this, I was told that they had changed the server, and there might be teething troubles...why not warn your guests of this in advance? Has the most depressing 'lounge' I have ever seen in a 3-star hotel. Staff friendly, but over-casual - don't really want to listen to waitresses singing along to the (ghastly) piped musak as they clear tables. All minor niggles I suppose, but just didn't add up to the enjoyable break I was hoping for. Incidentally, I spent the next night at another 3-star, where I stayed in a similarly advertised 'luxury double room'. It actually only cost just £10 more, but wow, what a difference - and served to emphasise that Yeovil Court just hasn't really got it right.
Friendly, good food, comfortable accommodation.
Guests upstairs to Room 20 could be heard moving about and talking.
Nice room, clean, helpful friendly staff
Everything but nothing specifically
very helpfuff staff good breakfast very clean
We booked a suite to add a little bit of luxury to our anniversary break. This lived up to our expectations of accommodation but was made special by the staff of this hotel. Every single member that we met was cheerful and helpful and that's what makes a good experience. The food was wonderful.
Only real disadvantage was the bright lights on the terrace outside of our room when trying to settle down for the night. However, a suggestion from me that thicker curtains or blackout liners would be beneficial was given a positive response so that may be addressed by the next time we stay.
Triple room was spacious dinner at the hotel was one of the best we have had travelling around the UK and Europe, and breakfast was good too with plenty of options.
Need extra pillows as they were very flat and not comfortable would be better if the 3rd bed is a single bed not a rollout one, not very comfortable to sleep on
Arriving early with jet-lag and the lady at reception let us catch up on sleep in our room because it was ready. The kitchen staff even managed to fit us in for breakfast when we arrived - they were really helpful.
Excellent room, bed, great wifi and a sound nights sleep. Would highly recommend just for the breakfast. Will be booking again
Friendly staff Tasty cooked breakfast Fast wi-fi Large free car park
Traffic noise Room a bit dusty
staff were really helpful and very friendly. food was great.
going home :(
2miles from the town centre Easy to use wifi Comfortable bed
Located next to a busy main road Lacked air conditioning
Staff were polite. Room was clean Evening meal was very nice
Very little Apart one very small thing room 30 did not have a toilet brush. Apart from that everything was adaquate.
The staff were lovely and friendly and very helpful from the first phone call I made, to the check in and directions to a wedding venue and then check out was simple and easy. The hotel was lovely and clean and breakfast was quick and tasty.
The shower head didn't have great pressure but I still managed. It might just have been our room.
Room was clean and generally well maintained. Did the job for a short 2 night weekend stay for a nearby wedding as we were not at the hotel much. Wifi worked well. Comes with 2 bottles of complimentary water.
Limited facilities. Breakfast food was mediocre. Had one of the suites which comes with a separate and relatively living room space but was not particularly useful. Just a sofa and a couple chairs but not particularly inviting and had a very small TV that we didn't even bother turning on so was almost pointless to have that space. In hindsight, would have preferred just a room and bed with TV that could be used while in bed. Bathroom was clean but very basic. Location is also a bit odd as it's right off a main road but the only thing nearby was a gas station so not convenient if you wanted to go on a short walk.
the rooms at the back of hotel are good value
would not recommend rooms in the main hotel near the road
Size of room was good value for money and clean. Bathroom was spacious with a decent shower and bath.
Room was hot with no obvious ventilation means; all windows were locked! Breakfast was spoilt by sloppy scrambled egg served with an over generous portion of salmon.
