Excellent room, bed, great wifi and a sound nights sleep. Would highly recommend just for the breakfast. Will be booking again
Friendly staff Tasty cooked breakfast Fast wi-fi Large free car park
Traffic noise Room a bit dusty
staff were really helpful and very friendly. food was great.
going home :(
2miles from the town centre Easy to use wifi Comfortable bed
Located next to a busy main road Lacked air conditioning
Staff were polite. Room was clean Evening meal was very nice
Very little Apart one very small thing room 30 did not have a toilet brush. Apart from that everything was adaquate.
The staff were lovely and friendly and very helpful from the first phone call I made, to the check in and directions to a wedding venue and then check out was simple and easy. The hotel was lovely and clean and breakfast was quick and tasty.
The shower head didn't have great pressure but I still managed. It might just have been our room.
Room was clean and generally well maintained. Did the job for a short 2 night weekend stay for a nearby wedding as we were not at the hotel much. Wifi worked well. Comes with 2 bottles of complimentary water.
Limited facilities. Breakfast food was mediocre. Had one of the suites which comes with a separate and relatively living room space but was not particularly useful. Just a sofa and a couple chairs but not particularly inviting and had a very small TV that we didn't even bother turning on so was almost pointless to have that space. In hindsight, would have preferred just a room and bed with TV that could be used while in bed. Bathroom was clean but very basic. Location is also a bit odd as it's right off a main road but the only thing nearby was a gas station so not convenient if you wanted to go on a short walk.
the rooms at the back of hotel are good value
would not recommend rooms in the main hotel near the road
Size of room was good value for money and clean. Bathroom was spacious with a decent shower and bath.
Room was hot with no obvious ventilation means; all windows were locked! Breakfast was spoilt by sloppy scrambled egg served with an over generous portion of salmon.
Everything else was good
Good hotel for the price
Some of the staff had no manner.
Very creaky ceiling
We were met and greeted very pleasantly. Our room was clean and comfortable. The breakfast was really good. WHat more do you need for an overnight stay?
Well.. the electric kettle had to be plugged in near the TV and the kettle stand had to be situated in front of the TV. Not the best arrangement.
The location is good for attractions. The suite we stayed in was very comfy, with our own settee etc. Plenty of teas and coffees and had a fridge we could use. Breakfast was excellent.
The evening meals were a little pricey, maybe because we are northerners.
Breakfast 10/10 Quiet Friendly Staff
Evening Meal overpriced
everything about it was excellent.couldnt fault it at all.would definitely go there anytime I was that way
The staff were excellent The room was large, quiet and very clean Large car park. We had been worried by the statement that we couldn't reserve a space in it, but we could have had a choice of, probably, 30 or 40 spaces. Excellent cooked or continental breakfast included.
We were in a room in the annex. There was nothing to dislike, but a few splashes of colour would have enhanced a totally beige room.
Staff spontaneously upgraded our booking when realising that the 3rd bed in the family room wasn't long enough for us.
Staff couldn't do enough for you. The receptionist was very helpful giving information about the local area which helped us a lot .
Comfortable rooms Good restaurant (incl. breakfast) - much better than I expected Very friendly staff
Portions in the restaurant are huge - almost impossible to finish a 3 course meal. Restaurant could reduce portion sizes and re-price accordingly - a 2 course meal with 2 glasses of wine was £42 which was on the pricey side
Clean, comfortable room and a delicious breakfast! A very enjoyable stay.
staff were very helpfull, great place to stay. will def stay again
The public areas are spacious and quite well appointed. The proprietor helped us to get our luggage up to our first floor room. The food was good.
The tilting windows in the loft accommodation tended to get in the way; things were a bit chaotic in the dining room on the first night.
Excellent food although pricing should be fairer. Clean rooms. Beautiful grounds and well maintained.
Uncomfortable nights rest - small double bed and slightly springy mattress . A not so welcoming receptionist. A but pricey for the basic room
The staff were friendly and helpful, the food was really good. The room we had was spacious and comfortable, would definitely would stay here again
