Everything! Staff are really helpful and friendly and nothing is too much trouble. The management team have done a great job building a good, happy team!
Nothing to fault
staff breakfast bedrooms
carpets at the top of the stairs were dangerous in one room, water/ biscuits were not replaced no decaf tea or coffee in rooms, and couldn't provide any when asked
Breakfast Bacon should have been back not streaky please understand this is a very very minor critism
Lovely laid back feel and beautiful ambiance, nothing was too much trouble and the food, staff and accommodation was brilliant.
The staff, the public areas and the food were all good. The bedroom was nicely decorated and comfortable.
The location is not ideal, on the main Andover Road. Noisy with lorries and cars whizzing past. The outside drinking area would be better at the back, sheltered from cars parking in front and traffic. The bedroom windows need to be double glazed to reduce the traffic noise. We didn't sleep at all, we were absolutely exhausted in the morning.
Extremely friendly. Food delicious. Ambience excellent. Overall 10/10 will definately stay/dine again. Can well recommend.
Room very copact
Friendly and helpful staff. Nice rooms.
Bit warm without fans or AC
Loved the food and service and the quirkiness
For some one who lives in afield the road was noisy but didn't spoil our stay
A lot of careful planning, design, detail and money has spent on refurbishing the rooms and the pub, and they are all excellent and the staff very friendly and accommodating.
We arrived late on a raining night to the cozy warmth of The Yew Tree. The staff and manager were very welcoming. The room was really nice - just like the pictures - Breakfast was great too. Overall we would highly recommend this Inn.
The pub has plenty of parking, is easy to find and has a welcoming atmosphere. The interior is of the pleasant low-beamed variety. Food was just above average, but nothing to justify a reputation. The 'feel' and the staff are what lifts this place.
Some dislike the road noise. I definitely didnt like the ground floor cell I was in. 'Pine' room. Breakfast was below average - buy hey its OK if served on slate! 2 pre-cooked , dry eggs and 2 thin rashers of bacon apparently equals egg and bacon. Dismal.
All aspects were excellent. Food, quality, friendliness and comfort.
What could there be NOT to like!
The pub and the staff
Proximity to main road and lots of traffic and small bathroom
Lovely old building with character, comfortable bed
Toilet was dirty, and I had to clean it before use!! Noisy room. Restaurant meal OK but I ordered John Dory and it was the smallest portion I have ever seen offered, measuring 3 x 2 inches. Could not believe it!
Great staff good food well served comfortae room
Food & service
Is next to a noisy busy road
Good food, great welcome and service. Breakfast is very good, just a top class country pub.
Staff was very friendly and helpful
friendly staff. Menu very good sensible prices. Room was very nice en-suite small . Quiet location.
My wife found the bed uncomfortable. The price of drinks were a bit high.ie glass of port £8.95 Ringwood bitter £3.90
staff very helpful food excellent
traffic noise lack of space in room for toiletries and hanging space low beams in toilet
Excellent standard of accomodation and very welcoming atmosphere
WIFI was patchy at best in the room at the back of the pub where I was.
Friendly polite staff.
Tori and Simon make a formidable pair as front of house and head chef. We were totally looked after from the moment we arrived. The wine list was a very pleasant surprise
Nothing to complain about at all
