The hotel was well signed with ample parking space and well appointed. The master of the hotel was rather sullen and did not offer to take my bag. The room was spacious and well appointed.

The staff were friendly and helpful. The breakfast was great. Free parking onsite. Commuting distance from London. This hotel goes the extra mile to really make your visit comfortable and welcoming. I can highly recommend it. This hotel is great if you have your own car but not good if you are relying on public transport. It is a bit too far from the station.

I received a friendly wlecome and efficient friendly service. I had made requests regarding my room which were fulfilled. I enjoyed an evening meal - roast night - which was very tasty, home cooked and an excellent price. Breakfast was also excellent. I was impressed at the hotel being licensed and at all of the facilities (trouser press, iron) and extras (toiletries, dental kit etc). I was a lone female amongst a number of male construction worker guests but the staff & atmosphere made me feel very comfortable. I would highly recomend as excellent value. Floor at the bottom of step into bathroom in room 5 felt like it may give way. Very small issues re: preparation of my room - wrapping of guest soap was on the floor of the bathroom (made me feel if hadn't been properly cleaned, although everywhere else was very clean); phone was off the hook, on the floor underneath a bedside table and I was unable to receive incoming calls. I was a bit cold in my room at night and too hot in the morning. I conisder these to be very very minor and they didn't detract from what was an excellent value, comfortable stay. My feedback is in an effort to be constructive.

It was a very nice hotel - the room was clean and nicely furnished - in spite of the fact that when I arrived I was given a first floor room - but my wife can't climb stairs so I asked for a ground floor room and was given one with no hesitation. We stayed for 5 nights and enjoyed our stay. Not a complaint at all - just a remark - the en-suit is very tiny - large people would have difficulty. The portions served for breakfast/dinner are enormous - large people would appreciate them, I'm sure!

Very clean, fresh and modern bathroom and toilet, fresh clean towels and linen, well equipped room with everything there and in place. Plenty of electrical sockets for laptop, phone charger, etc. Dining room attached to bar/lounge area - television blaring throughout meal. Car parking could be better organised - possibly marked bays - I arrived at 8.00pm and found it difficult to park due to poor parking with big gaps between vehicles

The Abbington Hotel was very pleasant, the owners and staff were very good. The hotel was clean the service to the rooms was first class. The food was excelant and good value all home cooked. The only thing we found at fault was the parking when the hotel was full with contractors with large vans.

Friendly, family run hotel with Italian influences in bedroom furniture and decor with excellent attention to detail. Room very comfortable, warm (stayed in November) and very clean with small, but perfectly acceptable en-suite shower room. Did not eat here, but would happily have done so having seen the attractive dining area. Lovely owners.

The room was clean, close to local amenities such as pubs/restaurants. The option of an early breakfast was very useful as we were working close by and could get started earlier.

As per my above answers, I founf the staff's attitude at reception excellent, the breakfast staff on the other hand was not as good. The room was very clean and thought had been given to give a very good impression The location suits my purpose view its proximity to my job. The price gave good value for money. I shall use and refer the hotel again

The Abbington Hotel was conveniently located (the right part of the country) for my trip, priced right and provided a good level of comfort. Over all, I am happy that I stayed there, I would do so again if the need arose and would recommend the place to others. More could be done to cater for special needs dietary requirements. I am vegetarian and my daughter requires genuine gluten free foods. Catering for neither requirement was offered, resulting in my daughter not using the breakfast facility and myself being restricted to only a cereal breakfast.

Comfy bed and the lady who owns the place. Good breakfasts and they try to think of everything. The chair covers were quite dirty and there was a lot of dust, hair and debris under the cushions. Plus the drinking manual workers in their dirty work clothes took the place over, and somewhat spoilt the stay. We didn't like them being served with their food in the bar area.

They kept breakfast for us and the breakfast was good. The hotel could be cancelled the day before without cost, others you could get a cheap deal but no refund if you could not go. It would have been better if we had understood that we were in an annexe that was like a shared house prior to going.

The room was clean and tidy, the food was very good staff were friendly. I was in a twin and the room was very small and cramped, bathroom was to tiny for a big bloke to move in, and the beds were poor, far to soft.

The friendly and helpfull staff. Two large flatscreen TV's which seemed always to be turned on from early morning in the breakfast room to late at night in the bar. The bathrooms were clean and modern but designed way to small. My elbows easily touched each wall whilst seated on the loo! The handbasin was also tiny and would have easily fitted in my own toilet. As such, it was difficult to brush teeth or fill the kettle to make tea/coffee. The only evening meal I ate during my 8 night stay was so poorly cooked I refrained from trying more cullinery marvels and made sure I ate a good lunch and took sandwiches back to my room to eat in the evening. As the weekly hotel guest seemed mostly to be contract workers or business men, the hotel became quite noisy at 6am each morning. The car park resembled a white van convention! I didn't feel comfortable as a single female.
