The breakfast was great and the staff were friendly. The bed was comfortable and the price was right. The 'house' in which we stayed is not to be recommended though the price was right. It is a family house converted to rooms, in the grounds of the hotel, that is in desparate need of improvement: the locks on the toilet and showere were both inoperative, the shower fan did not work, the shower room was no wider than the shower stall, tiles under the shower sill were falling off, the paint was peeling, the bedroom carpet felt cleanish but had numerous dark stains, there was a tear in the sheet and there were no rails to hang up wet towels, otherwise it was ok! Other rooms in the main part of the hotel are fine, I'm sure and can be recommended. The manager says they are working on doing up 'the house'. |

On entering the hotel the decor looked a bit tired and dated, however the bedrooms / bathrooms were excellent, newly decorated to a high standard, quality furnishings and modern fittings. Bar and restauraunt not open due to staff shortage / Low bookings |

Friendly, helpful staff. Clean & well presented rooms and ensuite facilities. Very comfortable bed. Good choice of breakfasts on menu - food was very well cooked and portions were huge. Breakfast room was a little dark and old-fashioned in decor, but certainly not enough to put us off of our lovely breakfasts! |
