We booked this hotel because it was cheap and close to Knebworth for a music festival. We weren't expecting alot because of the price but we where in for a pleasent surprise. Our room was big,very clean and lovely decorated with a flat screen tv and a wireless shower. The staff where very friendly, the breakfast was delicious and there was plenty of parking. Thank you for making a great weekend even better. |

The staff were great, breakfast was lovely (they did it for us even though we were late for it!), and we got a very good rate. We had to switch rooms after the first night (which we knew about prior to arrival so was fine) and they helped us and there were no problems. It was perfect for what we needed it for, something good value within a couple of miles of where we were going each day. Rooms could have been maintained slightly better |

Our room was immaculate and obviously newly refurbished. There was no noise. The breakfast was excellent. The room rates are very reasonable. Our daughter found the Annex was not to her liking but she was given a room in the Hotel without any bother. Annex is still to be refurbished. |

It was cheap and in the location I needed. The room was tiny. On the surface it was clean but the counterpain smelt of stale sweat and the carpet was really digusting, black around the edges and covered in cigarette burns. Shared bathroom was covered in mould. Breakfast was supoosedly served from 7-9am but when i went down at 7.15 no one was about, rang bell for 15 mins then had to give up as I needed to be away early. They were serving when i checked out at 8am. |

we stayed in "the house" at the back, through a garden. not what was shown on the website and not to the quality expected or shown in the pictures. poor quality beds and furniture and no TV reception. |

The breakfast was great and the staff were friendly. The bed was comfortable and the price was right. The 'house' in which we stayed is not to be recommended though the price was right. It is a family house converted to rooms, in the grounds of the hotel, that is in desparate need of improvement: the locks on the toilet and showere were both inoperative, the shower fan did not work, the shower room was no wider than the shower stall, tiles under the shower sill were falling off, the paint was peeling, the bedroom carpet felt cleanish but had numerous dark stains, there was a tear in the sheet and there were no rails to hang up wet towels, otherwise it was ok! Other rooms in the main part of the hotel are fine, I'm sure and can be recommended. The manager says they are working on doing up 'the house'. |
