Warm and friendly atmosphere, very comfortable room, excellent breakfast.

Nothing. We were in Edinburgh to visit a grandson and it suited our needs perfectly.

Everything was very friendly: the owners, atmosphere, cozy rooms and even two charming dogs. Our family travels a lot so the family number we stayed at was one of the best we ever had. Two clean and comfortable bedrooms, dinning room, kitchen and living room with access to a small garden -- all you can wish for a week holiday in Edinburgh. If you ever stay there say hello to an amazing hostess Kate!

Everything was really nice and the owner is a very nice lady always here to help. A will to be eco-friendly.

The eco-friendly behavior can be improved by stopping changing towels everyday and buying local produce as much as possible.

Cath was a most friendly, helpful and informative hostess.

The very warm welcome from the man of the house when the boss was out! Also the lady of the house is a fountain of knowledge about the local area and all in all a very relaxing time in a beautiful homely house.

Alba House is excellent. I am always made to feel very welcome. The service is very good indeed, and the breakfasts are fantastic. It is also conventiently situated for business (e.g. the University at King's Buildings) and the city centre.

Lovely B&B tucked out of the main tourist area but very accessible by bus. Large and bright comfortable room with tea and coffee making facilities and daily housekeeping. Cath the hostess was very welcoming and cooked a mean scottish breakfast with additional hot and cold choices that catered for most.

Great facilities with a warm welcome

Comfortable bed, lovely big shower and bathroom, spacious room, excellent service from Cath great welcome, tasty breakfast. Good location, buses run continuosly throughout the day and night. First visit to Scotland and certainly wont be the last and also Wales won the rugby! Icing on the cake!

Very friendly,welcoming host. Accommodation located close to old town- around 7 minutes by bus.

I lived in the artic room with twin beds with my dad. I really like artic, and there was a good view from the room window. Cath, the hostess of Alba House is really nice and helpful. And I like their breakfast and house's design as well, it feels very warm.

The staff are super friendly and efficient, the rooms are newly refurbished and clean / warm. The b&b was really well appointed and there wasn't anything the owners wouldn't do to help you. Breakfast was a good range, both continental and full scottish, cooked as you liked it. They were happy to cook a variety of options.

The attic room had no mirror in the bedroom or dressing table, which made doing my hair hard work!! A picky little thing really!

it was a warm friendly guest house, the owners were a delight and made you feel more than welcome. Breakfast was varied and nothing was any trouble to them. In fact we are going back next year at the same time.

We have stayed there before and liked it so much we came back this year. The decor is lovely and modern, cath is superbly friendly and the location is perfect. I can't see that next time we come back to Edinburgh we would stay anywhere else as alba house ticks all the boxes and then some.
