Dejligt hotel med en god stemming i en stille sidegade, tæt på byens centrum. Personalet var imødekomme og svare venligt på de spørgsmål som jeg evt, have. |

Venligt personale. God restaurant. Men bestemt ikke egnet hvis man har det mindste problem med trapper. Man skal forcere rigtig mange gamle trapper overvej seriøst en elevator - evt udvendigt. trapperne er meget slidte/skæve under tæppet. |

God beliggenhed i bydelen New Town - alle seværdigheder og togstationen kan nås til fods, bus nr. 22 til Leith kører tæt på. Meget charmerende og centralt beliggende hotel. |

Vi havde et fint ophold. Vi havde to værelser. Det ene var meget større og flottere end det andet. Alt i alt et hotel, der kan anbefales til et ophold i Edinburgh. Rengøringen skule være lidt mere obs på opfyldning af kaffe, shampoo, etc. |

Personalet var i top meget venlige og hjælpsomme. Pæne værelser i gammel bygning. Isætning af forsatsruder, det trak voldsomt og var svært at varme op. |

yes no hot water in room throughout the stay no additional acomodation offered, no answers to when or if the problem would be solved. no manager available, totally ruined our parties trip and would not recommened this hotel to anyone else |

The location was convenient for attractions, shopping, theatres, station etc and was in a reasonably quiet street. We stayed for 3 nights, arriving Friday. On arrival, the hotel staff were unable to find our room key. There were electrical problems which affected the TV. Shortly after arrival the central heating and hot water failed. We were without heating and hot water until late on Saturday evening. Only one radiator out of two was working and the heated towel rail in the bathroom did not work. The heating/water problems affected half of the hotel, which was almost full. We had to use a vacant single room to shower which was in another part of the hotel. On departure, the Manager on duty seemed unaware of the problems and was not authorised to offer any recompense. We asked that the proprietor e-mail us, but have not heard from him to date. |

There was no hot water for the entire duration of our stay and we were shunted to different rooms within the hotel everytime we wanted a shower. There was no manager at the hotel to make a formal complaint to. We have since been trying to rectify the situation with regard to payment but all telephone calls are ignored and not returned |

service from staff was very good, polite and helpful. we felt the decor in the room was not upto standard for a 4* hotel - some strips of paper had come off the ceiling, the bath was chipped and I was also unable to turn on the shower, the circular dial was difficult to grip and too stiff for me to turn, I had to get my boyfriend to work it for me. |

staff were very nice and very helpfull (especially Liam in the restaurant) restaurant excellent, location superb, very central, all in all a very enjoyable experience, wish we could have stayed longer having to come home!!!! |

We found the Albany extremely comfortable, the staff were very helpful and friendly at all times. The hotel location is ideal for exploring Edingburgh. The main lighting was rather weak, perhaps an additional reading lamp would help. A shelf for toiletries in the en-suite is necessary. |

From arriving to departing we found the staff very friendly and helpful. We were helped with luggage and car parking which was great. Our rooms were located where the bedlinen was sorted in the morning. It would have been nicer if this had been done a little later when most guests were out and about. |

The staff at this hotel were outstanding!!! They were only to happy to help with any requests i had. I'd read after booking that the rooms were dark, and after staying there- yes, the rooms are a little darker than normal, but it's the stylish decor and colour scheme's. I was impressed about everything during my stay, i would definately stay here again. |
