Sorry we could not stay longer and take advantage of the hotel and all it had to offer. Hope to have a good deal next time and take advantage of the prime location too. |

Accessible to everywhere in Cardiff Checking in so late at 2 p.m. and in our case our room was ready after 15 minutes. At least a consolation could have been appropriate like a free drink a the bar. No such gesture. |

Location fantastic, right next to Millenium stadium. So close it could be a problem for arriving by car since streets around are closed a couple of hours before international rugby match, but it was ideal for us and there were spaces in the hotel car park. Staff friendly and helpful and a good breakfast. Attractive public areas and frontage. Badly in need of a make-over; bedroom had not been decorated for some years and decor seemed rather 1950's old-fashioned, even though rooms were well equipped with TV, teamaking, iron etc. |

Centre Location was excellent for our purpose Too noisy - inside hotel. Surprising as it is an old hotel I did not exect to be able to hear all other guest conversations within our room. You could swear there were no doors/walls to seperate guests |

Staff were friendly. Room was clean. It was not as i expected it looked a lot more posh in the photos and the room was basic. If I had paid full price I would have been complaining. We had no view as it had skylite windows . |

we asked for a view of the castle and that was great. Staff were very helpful Traffic noise was an annoying consequence of a view from the first floor. Internet connection vouchers were provided but access not always available |

Location. The design/furniture are old, and don't worth a 4 star hotel. The staff didn't really know about the things to do around Cardiff. Breakfast not included. |

I liked the more traditional feel of the building and the grandeur. I had a bad experience with a barman when I tried to order a pot of tea to drink in the lounge. No hot chocolate was available even though it was on the menu, "we haven't had any for weeks". When I asked what fruit teas you had. "Well we have various ones in the kitchen, I cant tell you them all!" I was asked what I wanted. How can I choose if you can't tell me what you have. He was rude! |

The hotel was fantastic and ideally situated in the heart of Cardiff city centre. The hotel also had a secure car park but was also close to the station for travellers visiting by train. When next visiting Cardiff would most certainly stay there again. Thank you Barcelo. |

The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The hotel's location in the city centre is very convenient and the on-site parking was a bonus. The decor of the room was tired and rather tatty. However, the room was thoroughly cleaned by the staff each day. |

Excellent location, beautiful reception area very dated (not traditional!) room, the floorboards were not straight whatsoever, bathroom was dirty, tv reception was awful, very noisy even on the 3rd floor, was not worth the money I paid for. |

The staff are always very helpful. I had my room upgraded even though I had a budget price. I asked for extra milk for the morning and I had it without any problems. Very pleasant stay. |
