Extremely friendly reception staff. Wonderfully sized room with view of Cardiff castle. Room was on a slant however added to the quirkiness of it all. Great location and overall a lovely stay. The dining area and breakfast was beautiful however found the staff less attentive as would have expected. Will definitely be staying again in the future. Thank you for a fabulous stay

central position. clean. friendly staff. car parking. ceiling window in room 312 when raining sounded like cats dancing on roof. guttering i think broken outside and had tapping noise all night with rain. if i got 3 hours sleep that was about it. needed to be up at 6 for breakfast, not started to 8, as i was participating in a 100 mile charity cycle ride and had to be at start for 7 am. no alternative offered for breakfast. altogether not a great experience for me.

Liked that the staff changed our room when we told them that the carpet was all worn and there was no wifi in our room. Then moved to a much better room, thank you Carpet was all worn in our room, 232... not a very good first impression on the room after it being so nice everywhere else. When we were moved to a new room 204 we found dirty clothing of a previous guest.

The staff were welcoming, friendly and helpful; the entrance is imposing Ridiculous padded leather headrolls on bed headboards - at a height that no average human could reach and if they could their backs would have been unsupported - that made sitting up in bed impossible: please try them. Bar unable to provide crushed ice and blasting out very loudly at 9.00am. Cracked glass in rather dirty windows that would only open a few inches. net curtains grubby and couldn't be drawn open; cheap, thin toilet paper.

Courteous friendly staff & excellent breakfast. Comfortable room I had booked room on line to include B&B for £72. Receptionist told me when I arrived the rate was for room only. After producing copy of my E.Mail confirmation(which I had luckily brought with me) he agreed I was correct & apologised. I feel either the hotel's E.Mailbooking is not working 100% or the receptionist was at fault, & should have known what terms I had accepted on line !!

Relaxed friendly atmosphere. The location was perfect for exploring the city or going to any of the sports venues. The bedrooms and bathrooms were spotless and restaurant service good. A blind was needed in the bathroom of my room 323.

The staff were really helpful and polite. The room was spacious and bed/bedding was comfortable and cosy. Breakfast room was in need of some attention, there was a heavy layer of dust under chairs and tables. Fabric on chairs really needed to be cleaned, looking old, dirty and worn out. Did not think it was very hygienic for staff to be moving cutlery from table to table.

The waiter in the bar was really helpful and of good service to us. The food is up there in the top three worst meals I have ever had in a hotel, this I can say as I have traveled 72 different courtries and stayed in 100s of hotels. The manager in morning was a bit aggressive.
