The staff were helpfull and it was a good location. Very Christmassy, decorated tastefully. In my booking I had asked for a nice room as it was a booking for a friends birthday. the room we were given was dark and on a main road. There was a massive cobweb in the badroom, the shower curtain needed changing, bath needed bleaching / re-grouting and the heating was on all night so made our sleep quite uncomfortable. I was expecting at check out to be asked how our stay was but was greeted by the receptionist yawning and simply asking for payment. If i had been asked how my stay was i was quite prepared to tell and ask for a discount but am not the type to cause a fuss. |

Good location and a very keen price. Some rooms have been refurbished, others are still stuck in 1970s tacky hell. Dirty shower with blood on the fittings, dingy grouting on the tiles, dirty light fittings. Foul window frames. |

We paid £89 each for two double rooms and if we chose to have breakfast that was an extra £13.95 each which is not value for money. The hotel is in need of decoration as it is tired looking inside and the decoration in our room and the other looked shabby. The bathroom had black around the mixer taps, on the tiles and above the bath and the shower curtain had stains on it. The barrier in the car park also came down on my husbands head without warning and knocked him to the ground. |

I liked my room as it was spacious and very comfortable. Really good value for money. Except that there was lots of noise coming from the street very late at night. the volume control in Room 136 did not work when I stayed there. |

Greal location, friendly staff, good breakfast... I sincerely believe that the hotel now survives on its past reputation and not quality of its rooms at all...cracked sink, jammed windows, generally outdated room...great location...but let down by room (2nd and final stay here, both rooms have been the same poor quality) |

Sorry we could not stay longer and take advantage of the hotel and all it had to offer. Hope to have a good deal next time and take advantage of the prime location too. |

the location was fantastic for the millenium stadium and shopping. Our hotel room was dirty, the cobwebs and dust around the room where appalling, the bathroom was not much better. The tea and coffee facilities where less than acceptable, for the money they charged me for this room I am very disappointed and will stay in a premier inn hotel next time, as I think I will get better value for money. If this hotel want to charge premium rate prices the standard of the room should reflect this and it most certainly does not!!!! Very disappointing |

Accessible to everywhere in Cardiff Checking in so late at 2 p.m. and in our case our room was ready after 15 minutes. At least a consolation could have been appropriate like a free drink a the bar. No such gesture. |

Location fantastic, right next to Millenium stadium. So close it could be a problem for arriving by car since streets around are closed a couple of hours before international rugby match, but it was ideal for us and there were spaces in the hotel car park. Staff friendly and helpful and a good breakfast. Attractive public areas and frontage. Badly in need of a make-over; bedroom had not been decorated for some years and decor seemed rather 1950's old-fashioned, even though rooms were well equipped with TV, teamaking, iron etc. |

Centre Location was excellent for our purpose Too noisy - inside hotel. Surprising as it is an old hotel I did not exect to be able to hear all other guest conversations within our room. You could swear there were no doors/walls to seperate guests |

Staff were friendly. Room was clean. It was not as i expected it looked a lot more posh in the photos and the room was basic. If I had paid full price I would have been complaining. We had no view as it had skylite windows . |

we asked for a view of the castle and that was great. Staff were very helpful Traffic noise was an annoying consequence of a view from the first floor. Internet connection vouchers were provided but access not always available |

Location. The design/furniture are old, and don't worth a 4 star hotel. The staff didn't really know about the things to do around Cardiff. Breakfast not included. |
