I think that the cleaners 'made the best of a bad situation'. The hotel is very old fashoined and run-down - I think that the cleaners do clean the place as well as they can, but it still feels a little grimey. The waitresses at breakfast were also quite down-to-earth and pleasant. As mentioned before - felt a little grimey and the Reception Staff had appalling manners. Were very unhelpful and when I had problems connecting to the internet from my room after purchasing the voucher, I was spoken to as if I was stupid. Even when the Hotel Manager came to help, we never did get it connected. I don' think that it was because I was stupid!! |

Handy for the city & the university. The design of the hotel makes it noisy. I don't expect (along with other guests) to have to search through the breakfast plates to find a clean one! |

Quality of the breakfast The standard of some of the facilities in the room was poor eg hot water flow rate in the bath and cupboard door hinge broken in the bedroom on which the TV stood |

We went to a concert at NIA The first room we were offered was disgusting. The second room was acceptable, considering we had only paid £39. If we had paid full price then it would not have been acceptable, and we would not have stayed there. |

Excellent value for money, clean room, and less than a mile away from Broad Street. Location is a lengthy stroll from city centre so may be necessary to use bus or taxi rather than walking. |

I didnt like the fact that I has paid extra to check out late and had the cleaners knocking on the door at 11.30 asking me to leave, surely they should have known that i had paid for a late check out and therefore not distrubed me. Secondly the toilet door would not close without being slammed shut which was frustrating and thirdly the clean towels were not actually that clean. |

i really liked the free wi-fi as i think my teenage daughter would have been bored otherwise. decor could have been a bit more modern and also didnt realise it was so far from city centre. |

Warm welcome from friendly receptionist. I attended a course all day saturday and was impressed with the quality of drinks throughout the day and the range and quality of food at lunchtime Not really - I don't like computer keys but bow to their inevitability |

Friendly staff. Inexpensive in comparison to other local hotels Bed sheets were stained and wall paper was peeling. Although a television was in the room, it had very poor reception |

rooms were spacious if not luxurious, somehow adequate and parking facility was ample. Communication prior arrival was good since it was done by email and replies were received prompt... ...however this did not continue at arrival since guests had to wait at reception for long times while the one and only receptionist dealt with each client. I saw no initiative to ask for help when needed. Also no information regarding paying separate for breakfast when booking the room nor at arrival, just at the entrance of the dinning room in the morning!!!. |
