It was very cold so I liked the fact that there was a heated radiator in the bedroom and also a bath rather than just a shower. The price was very good. -The towells did not smell fresh, they smelt of salt and vinigar crisps! -The hotel inside smelt of B.O-sweaty

I enjoyed my stay at the Apollo, but I always do. Every time I plan to come to Birmingham I go straight on line and book with Apollo, I don't even bother looking at other Hotels. The Apollo meets all my needs without breaking the bank. The Staff are helpful, friendly, and the breakfast buffet is just what you need when your rolling in at 07:00am after all that partying, and guess what you even get to sleep all day because its not a noisy place. See you soon. x

Though the room was small it was clean and had everything we needed. I liked being able to park outside the room. Location of the hotel was excellent being a short bus ride into the city centre. The staff were very nice and the breakfast was good. I would stay there again.

Staff friendly and helpful. The room was a good size and was warm and comfortable. If you simply need a room for the night, have a restricted budget and are not bothered about a "dining experience", this hotel is just fine. There are a couple of family restaurants close by (tgi Fridays) Because of the annexe/outside corridor style accommodation, you can clearly hear people going in and out of their rooms until the early hours. The decor is a bit tired.

The staff in reception were very friendly and efficient. We had a few drinks at the hotel bar and made our way to our rooms. They are small but very clean and have all the nice to haves including flat tv iron and kettle. The shower is over the bath and fairly powerful. Location is good being opposite TGI Fridays and about a mile from the city. All in all a very pleasant stay.

No fuss. Good service. We booked room for under £40 and didn't expect too much, but we were allocated a very roomy twin suite on the ground floor in very quiet part of hotel. Bus stops to city centre and back outside hotel. About £1.50 each way. Buses run very regularly till late. Free, secure parking. Decor was a little tired, but they were addressing this. One of twin bed mattresses was a bit hard from use.

The hotel was close to our family which we were visiting,it was a bit unfortunate that the hotel was being refurbished however ir did't affect our stay too much,we thought it was good value for the room and we will use you again when we come again on a visit. The only complaint was the breakfast was cold on our last day and we thought 8.50 was expensive for breakfast.

The staff were friendly and although we weren't impressed with the room etc this was reflected in the price as it was £55 for two b&b which was over £20 less than we had been advised when we booked. The hotel is currently undergoing renovation. The rooms we had were not yet renovated and were extremely dated. The room wasn't overly clean and the lighting was awful. We had a radiator which we couldn't turn off so the room was too hot. If we'd known at the time of booking that this was the case we would have stayed in a different hotel. The hotel bar was being decorated and it was therefore a bit of a building site.

Good location We had a ground floor room on a Saturday night. There was an awful lot of noise from young people shouting outside between the hours of 02.00 and 05.00. This led to a lot of lost sleep

The location where near to the public transport easy access to travel to the city. Alo the staff so kind and welcoming. The room was clean and good fascilities been provided. Maybe you need to write a note to say safter certain time should be quite. This because sometimes people stay too late after midnight chating in the corridor and having fun while the other people would like to sleep. I been in some palces where was written at the entrace of the reception when you take the keys "Keep the noise down or no noise after 11pm" Thank you for your hospitality
