Traffic Noise. Heard a Police Or Ambulance Car Every Half An Hr. The Noise Is The Only Downfall.

I spent my 18th bday weekend here at Apollo and I have to say it was great. After looking at reviews, I wasn' so sure but on arrival I did not expect such great service and rooms. Went to brum for the nightlife for my big night and so anyone thinking of coming here with a group of mates whether male/female is the place for you. Not a far walk from the main area but taxis aren't bad. Brilliant hotel for such a low price. Definitely coming again.

Easy access to Birmingham & to nearby attractions i.e. NEC Comfortable rooms with all mod cons, cleaned daily.

The noise from other customers (the walls are very thin!) and we were staying in the apartment by the underpass so got all the noise with people returning from nights out etc. On the side of a very busy road.

Location was good and nice food places around. The customer service and check in was fast and straight forward.

My room was dirty and the worst thing was the shower was broken!. Also the room smelt of damp and bathroom was smelly too. The bed sheet was just one and very thin. The cushions on the bed where less also. The full lights didnt work. I had to check out on the same day because of the room I was given. I didn't bother complaining because I was very angry so I checked into another hotel.

The best and cleanest room I have stayed in for a long while-I have paid more for far worse rooms. .Excellent value for money.

Going in the cold to get to room. Bit far from city centre.

Cold Dated - rooms, bed sheets, lights! Swipe card didn't work in the morning Very poor lighting!

The staff were really friendly, even though the hotel doesn't look very nice on the outside the rooms are lovely and clean. There is a few restaurants which are Beekeeper (which i ate at and the staff were lovely) TGI Fridays and an Indian restaurant. Although the hotel isn't as close to the city centre as we hoped they still pre-ordered us a taxi for the morning.

The hotel is out of the way of the city centre, however it only costs £12 for a taxi to Birmingham New Street Station.

Efficient check in, good standard of room comfort, good price for a hotel close to Broad Street. Convenient bar and restaurant.

The appearance of the hotel as you pull in will put you off but drive round to the back and your mind will be put at ease. Most rooms are accessed from the outside so be prepared to get cold and wet if the weather isn't favourable.

Price and willingness of the staff to try and sort out problems

Long list..Many of the bulbs not working in the room leaving it dark. Stained ceiling tiles, grubby blanket.

Noisey neighbours. On the saturday night, in the evening there was screaming and shouting on the balcony outside our room. We did complain to reception During the night there was constant banging of doors and heavy footsteps outside our room. Then at 5.45 am there was banging on the next door and thumping, then banging the window, after which a male person was talking loudly on the telephone outside my window.

Not dealing with complaints. Towel heater in bathroom not working. Nothing done to rectify the problem. Room telephone not working. As above.

Okay for the price

The remote on the television did not work, requires some refurbishment. Very noisy- car alarms and people banging on our door at 4 in the morning

It was full of stag & hen parties on Saturday night, the noise was horrific & went on until 5.30am, a constant stream of taxis arrived dropping guests off in the courtyard, doors slamming, drunks staggering to their rooms, swearing & shouting. Can't open the windows due to the noise & the heating is flat out making rooms unbearably hot.

Very close to my location

Room was very cold. No information about the use of the radiator in bedroom. Radiator did not work in the bathroom - very cold. Was very noisy in the courtroom outside of my room, very late at night and disturbed by sleep.
