reasonable hotel in good location with friendly staff.

when people dont close the lift gate and you have to walk up four flights of stairs.

Helpful staff, lovely building, good breakfast.

We loved it!

Stayed here last year and decided to return. Same friendly service and the public areas were still impressive. The room was clean and the bed comfortable - liked the fresh coffee for the morning - nice touch. Facilities now not nearly so good but the location and the price still make it a useful option for a weekend break in Glasgow although don't expect to return to the hotel bar for a drink after a night out (see below)

The bar and restaurant downstairs is now closed and the residents lounge (really only a couple of tables in the breakfast room) opened at erratic times and closed at 11.00pm -. Since the idea of finding anywhere on a Saturday night that was not heaving, proved too much we were back in our room by midnight - this might stop us from using here again.

Location is central to our activities in Glasgow. Price is sensible. Quality is good especially food and toiletry consumables. Accommodation is quirky and interesting.

Bed too soft, still no idea how to operate the TV, probably an age thing!!

I booked two rooms. My brother had te one at the back od the hotel and it was good. My room was at the front and it was very noisy.

This is the second time I have stayed at Abode and will definitely be returning. Beautiful building, clean rooms, comfortable bed and friendly staff

The Abode is so central for shopping with Buchanan Street just a couple of streets away. Also close to everything else I required during my stay. The Hotel is beautifully furnished and clean, the staff on reception were all very friendly and helpful. Love The Abode, and usually stay here when in Glasgow.

The location of the hotel is excellent, and it's nice and low-key. The shower is excellent too.

There is much that could be done easily to improve this hotel. The contemporary design of the renovated rooms looks nice - but there is very little storage space for clothes - just desk drawers, and more shelves are needed in the bathroom. The bed is extremely soft - clearly a new mattress, but not good for the back. Requests from housekeeping (extra blanket, etc.) were hit or miss. The closet doesn't close, and only has non-removable hangers, not very helpful in a rainy city where you sometimes want to hang wet clothes in the shower. A concierge or better resources at the reception desk would make a big difference.

The room was very comfortable and big and the decor very nice. Room service was fantastic and I would definitely stay here again
