Abode is a centrally located hotel that we have stayed at before. We have always been pleased with the treatment we have received from Abode's staff and the condition of the rooms and facilities.

Location is central to our activities in Glasgow. Price is sensible. Quality is good especially food and toiletry consumables. Accommodation is quirky and interesting. Bed too soft, still no idea how to operate the TV, probably an age thing!!

Great location and within easy walk of concert hall where we were going in the evening. We were then able to enjoy a drink in the bar when we returned. We enjoyed the experience and will stay there again.

The Abode is so central for shopping with Buchanan Street just a couple of streets away. Also close to everything else I required during my stay. The Hotel is beautifully furnished and clean, the staff on reception were all very friendly and helpful. Love The Abode, and usually stay here when in Glasgow.

The hotel is ideally situated within the city centre and near to shops and bars. The rooms have lovely high ceilings and the hotel has character The hotel needs refurbished, it is just not worth the rates charged. The curtains were dirty, the carpet was over stretched and therefore loose in places. The bathroom was clean though smelt a bit musty. The bed was excellent and clean and there were some nice touches, but overall for the money you could get a lot better within the city centre. The hotel looks as though no one cares very much ! The skirtings and door frames are badly scuffed and extras that are advertised such as bath robes have t be asked for and then are not really the quality you would expect for the prices charged for the larger rooms

In the heart of city centre, friendly staff. Hotel has real character Curtain in room was badly stained, unable to access internet in room despite best efforts of receptionst to resolve problem. Unable to lower temperature of room so had to open windows. Woken up at 7am by noisey kitchen extractor fans. Emailed manager and has been resolved to my satisfaction.

Great location. Amazing architecture. Alas decor on rooms very tired and a couple of cracked tiles were glaringly obvious.

The location of the hotel is excellent, and it's nice and low-key. The shower is excellent too. There is much that could be done easily to improve this hotel. The contemporary design of the renovated rooms looks nice - but there is very little storage space for clothes - just desk drawers, and more shelves are needed in the bathroom. The bed is extremely soft - clearly a new mattress, but not good for the back. Requests from housekeeping (extra blanket, etc.) were hit or miss. The closet doesn't close, and only has non-removable hangers, not very helpful in a rainy city where you sometimes want to hang wet clothes in the shower. A concierge or better resources at the reception desk would make a big difference.

I like the location and the hotel itself. The decor and comfort was great and the food and service in the restaraunt was excellent. The lift was stuck on the third floor due to the people using it not closing it.The staff on reception were quiet cold and intially preauthorised our bill by over £100 too much, The windows in our room were heavily frosted and did not open which felt vert claustrophobic even for a non sufferer.

How central the hotel was to all the amenities. We also had a room looking out onto bath street which I liked. The room temperature. Although the air conditioning was up full, the room got warm really quickly.

Arrived at hotel at 0730 (off the sleeper train from London), normally a bit early for check-in. Was given a room immeditately. Bed was comfortable, but a bit soft.
