staff great, hotel was lovely, defo be going back!

after A night out we want to order food to the room, but we could not do this as I did not have credit card. I did speak to the reception in the morning to say this should be made aware to all guests. but still A great hotel.

The hotel setting

The bed and cleanliness, very poor. I have been using Abode hotel in Chester when I visit our office there, and also Abode manchester when visiting that office. I have recommended Abode Glasgow to my work colleagues and clients visiting our Glasgow office, however after our stay at the weekend, I will be recommending somewhere else.

Beautiful building and great staircase and amazing lift.

Lovely hotel and good central Location for shops, food and drink.

Noisy with people outside passing by and also in the hotel there was very good soundproofing between rooms.

Great location with loads of shops, bars and restaurants nearby, large comfortable bed

First room had not been cleaned properly and we had to change rooms

The ability to relax after a hectic week at work.

The lift. We were on the 3rd floor and if the previous occupants using the lift had not closed over the door we were having to climb the stairs. Not too good if you are suffering a touch of arthritis.

Location. The character of the hotel has been preserved with its old lift and lots of original decor. Quality of toiletries

Staff were extremely helpful, cheerful, and went above and beyond to take care of us. Fab place right in the heart of the town!

The hotel was fantastic location and very nice decor. Great value for money. Despite a couple of little things it was by far the best value for money and a fantastic stay.

The lights in the rooms didn't work well. It was rather annoying trying to figure out the system. struggled every-time to get the bathroom light on. Heard a lot of noise from outside as we were given a ground floor. With bar getting bottles collected (glass smashing) early am.

Great location, could walk to a whole host of bars and restaurants. Room was good, big TV, comfy bed.

My only fault might be something other travellers see as a nice feature. The lift is the old style close gate variety, which is quaint, but when you are tired, have had a long day and are carrying a couple of bags it is a pain and a normal push button sliding door would have saved me some aggravation.

No lime or lemon in my vodka/tonic Not good lighting at mirror in bedroom for makeup or reading Not enough milk on breakfast tray for coffee and cereal Quite a lot of street noice if room is street facing

rooms were very small, the lift was constantly stuck as children were playing in them and leaving the gate open

As a female travelling alone I was disappointed that you didn't have a dining room facility in the evening . I didn't appreciate having to go out alone for dinner.

Decor in reception and stairway- lovely that you've kept the tradition of the building. And loved the lift! Felt like I'd stepped back in time!

A wee bit noisy through the night but guess that can't be helped due to location.

i liked the location of the hotel it was right in the heart of the city which was handy to the shops and other facilities,

our room was cold with the draft coming in from the window , there was also a smell in the room as soon as we opened the door, and we were located on the ground floor at the back of the hotel and the noise outside our window in the morning by the staff crushing glass bottles was very disturbing
