I had a particularly gruelling day and was held up and in danger of missing my check-in time. I phoned and left a message, and when I eventually arrived, I was given a really friendly welcome.
Good location on the sea front, not all rooms have a sea view, so worth asking which do have. I booked a single but was upgraded.
My double room was beautifully decorated, the en-suite spotlessly clean and the bed was so very comfortable, I wished I'd had a couple of extra days just to sleep. The full English breakfast was one of the best I've experienced in all my travels recently, cheerfully served, and nicely presented. The Wi-Fi worked well. I found a programme for the Eastbourne Theatres, and went to a concert by the RAF Central Band, to celebrate 50 years of the Red Arrows. An unexpected bonus.
Plenty to don , see and visit in the locality, even in the winter.
The carpet in the bedroom had seen better days, more due to the carelessness of guests I surmise, than lack of attention on the part of the owners. Some of the rooms are in the process of being updated, as will be the communal areas, (stairs, dining room). But all reasonable. Restricted parking along the sea front, free between 6.00pm-8.00am, but I chose to drive around the corner and park in one of the adjacent side roads.
