Location was excellent, right on promenade

Hotel was very run down - wallpaper coming away, very dirty carpets, scratched paint. My window opened to reveal a filthy yard area full of pigeon poop, pigeon eggs and nests - smell was horrendous. There were even broken eggs and poop on my windowsill. A real health hazzard. Shall never book there again!

Great seaview. Lovely room, very comfortable. Very friendly and accomadateing owner, with a great knowledge of the local area. Would definately visit again.

But noisy (pigeons nesting outside) old out dated uncomfortable and noisy bed......shower was useless.....all bit grubby and in need of a refurb

4th visit,so its another great weekend,great position on the seafront,short walk to shops and eating places/bars. Just a very nice relaxed small hotel,we will stay again hopefully sometime soon!!,thanks Mark......

We found a really clean hotel, comfortable and with lovely friendly staff. Because it was very affordable it enabled my friend and i to have a couple of days rest and relaxation which we otherwise would not have had. The location was excellent, within easy reach of the shops and restaurants and right across the road from the beach. This was our second visit and we will certainly return again.

Everything was ok, it needed updating a little but that is a very minor thing as it was so clean and comfortable.

Very old and bare hotel,small room, might be very hot in room . Credit card reader was out of order while our stay.

I stayed at the Atalanta for one night while in Eastbourne for the Tennis and was very impressed with the service and location. I arrived drenched from the pouring rain a little early for check-in but the staff were excellent making me a cup of tea and making me feel welcome while they prepared my room straight away. Breakfast was excellent too. Would definitely stay there again.

Room and building was very old but that was part of it's charm. I did have some very loud neighbour's that came back late but was not the Hotels fault. All round not much to complain about, great hotel and staff.

Genuine. Not fancy, but everything works and the breakfast is home cooked and plenty of it. Good value for seafront location. Will stay again at the price.

The amazing views from the windows out to the sea

No bar, even though advertised. TV in room very tiny, seems little point having one as it's so far away from the bed you can't really watch it!!

Large room by UK standards (Seaview), very clean and tidy room with very comfortable bed (sleigh bed), hospitable and helpful owner operator. Good breakfast. Excellent value for money.

Street parking was difficult during the Easter holiday period but this applies to all hotels in this location as few, if any, have offstreet parking. Hotel operator assisted with provision of 24 hour parking voucher at a small additional charge.

Great location, friendly staff, good food. We stayed in a cosy sea view room.

It is a value for money establishment, and should be seen as such. It is a functional family run hotel with facilities to match. Nice breakfast and staff. I wanted somewhere on a budget and it met all my expectations.
