The walk back from the public car park to the hotel in the rain after walking up Snowdon!
We enjoyed ever min of our 5 day break at the black boy inn could not fault anythink the food was first class bar staff were all very friendly and the waitresses were outstanding nothing was ever to much trouble. The booking in was very good also Angela was very helpfull I would recommend this to my family and friends and I no that they would enjoy there stay.
atmosphere, rooms and friendly staff
would have liked to park onsite but can understand reasons
Great location in the city walls - comfortable room and staff offered a packed breakfast when we needed to go out early. Good atmosphere in old pub building
Meal was ok but not as good as expected from ratings - steak a bit tough - we were there in a very busy time though (Bank Holiday)
Location History Food Rooms Comfort
Tea and Coffee in room Central location Excellent breakfast
Beds and pillows were too hard Parking was inconvenient
Loved the atmosphere of the old inn. It was clean and well appointed. Very spacious too - we were in a Queen suite in Black Jack's. There was a choice of food for breakfast including a vegetarian cooked breakfast. The staff were lovely - very helpful.
The parking - we had to park on the Castle car park which meant a trek uphill once we'd parked. Our room was also up 4 flights of stairs - no lift. Not great when you're 65 like we are.
Facilities were first class & the breakfast was fantastic. Staff were very friendly & helpful & for those that need it the wifi signal was very strong.
My only issue was in my room (22) there was a low beam that I bashed my head on a few times. Then again when the Black Boy Inn was built back in 1552 it wasn't built for people 6ft+. Don't let that put you off though.
The food was exceptionally good - the continental breakfast was the best I have ever tasted, and the evening meal of seafood salad was huge - well done to all! Location couldn't have been better, staff were all very welcoming and attentive.
Nothing - 10 out of 10!
What's not to like. The staff at reception were fantastic, so friendly and helpful, as were all of the staff I met there. The food in the bar/restaurant was excellent - ate way more than I should have! The room was a single with so much character - low beams painted black - bed was comfortable.
Excellent staff on reception and very good food. Our room was No 60 in the building at the back, it was fabulous. Missed breakfast but were served anyway
Car park arrangements. If you arrive before 6.30pm they send you to the Castle car park but it you arrive later you can park on site. Breakfast finished too early at 10am.
The cleanliness of the property was amazing and all the staff were very helpful and friendly. The meals we excellent quality and good value for money.
For me the beds and pillows in black jacks were too firm.
Friendly staff, very clean rooms, new towels and bed dressed every day, great choice of breakfast, excellent portion sizes we didn't go hungry.
good atmosphere excellent food breakfast very good pleasant staff
Excellent location for short Snowdonia break. A very pleasant hotel made exceptionally good by really first clas staff. Thank you Dalwynn for looking after us so well
Location, staff, food, character of accommodation
Location, interesting place.
Very small double room.
A friendly inviting environment with all the comforts of home
the historic building ,the staff very helpful and friendly .good food comfortable beds
it was very hot weather and no air con
We loved the food and the rooms and bathrooms were great. Breakfast choices were fabulous. Pub food excellent. We've eaten there over the years but never stayed and would definitely go back. Plenty of staff in the restaurants so service was excellent.
We did find the mattresses a bit too firm for our liking, and the four posters, while lovely and big did hold the heat in (hot summer nights in North Wales don't happen very often mind you I guess so it's not normally an issue), and there was a fan in the room to help combat this though. Our room overlooked the delivery area which was quite noisy early morning (6.30am)
All of it.....location, period furniture, staff, food.....
great food and beer. lovely staff and the best room ever
cant think of anything
Great location Friendly staff Fab atmosphere Lovely food Great choice of drinks Well maintained
The atmoshpere. The rooms. The food
The hose in the shower. It was fastened and couldn't be taken loose. Water on the bathroom floor after showers.
