The friendliness and helpfulness of all the staff at all times was exceptional. Our room was extremely well decorated and comfortable. There is a wide and varied menu with something to suit everybody, all the meals we had were beautifully presented and well cooked. |

Centrally situated in the heart of the walled town, the Black Boy is one of the few places in the old town where anything goes on. I've rated staff (above) as 'fair': in fact all were friendly and attentive but the service was slow to very slow - perhaps a result of modernisation work currently being carried out, but something to watch. |

The Inn has a lot of character; it has two bars and a restaurant. The menu provided a good choice of dishes and the food was very good. The location of the Inn is close to local ameneties and tourist attractions. During my stay there were building works in progress for an extension. I was not made aware of this at the time of booking. |

Interesting building in a good location. perfect for castle, seaside towns and walking in the mountains. Room we stayed in was one that had not been renovated yet and was aa poor standard -very old fittings etc The renovated rooms lookes much better. Poor service in the restaurant in the evening. |

I had a basic room at a basic price, but the staff were excellent and the food was superb. There was a lot of building work going on. Once finished, it will be excellent |

this was a lovely place inside the walls of a castle. the hotel itself is not a castle. It had a really nice feeling and the breakfast was yum. the location was excellent too. We had an unrenevated room but didn't care we had a good time, im sure the new rooms would be fantastic. our bathroom was a bit old but they are in the process of renovating it all so im sure that would be fixed. |

A fantastic localization! A very nice and cozy room, fully refurbished up to current standards. There are facilities for a tee/coffee making available in the rooms. The restaurant and bar are full during the weekends, so book a table in the early afternoon. For the breakfast you can choose from four different menus. There is a car park available for the hotel guests. |

Hotel staff very friendly, new rooms are excellent, food very good, but watch the large starters. Great location, perfect for walking around the pretty town and harbour or exploring Snowdon. Restuarnt very busy so make sure you book a table if you dont wont to eat in the bar. With all the locals speaking in welsh you really felt you had gone away. Being a busy place it could be noisy in the evenings and with our room at the front you could be woken by early deliviries and they undergoing some building works, But saying that none of this bothered us at all, and we would go back tommoro! |

The staff could not have been more helpful and the location was very convenient for our purposes. Once renovation is completed the Inn will be even more attractive for guests. |

The location. The quality and comfort of the room. Quality of the beer was exceptional. Playing toast lottery at breakfast - would we get any, when would it be served?. Also affected by serving breakfasts to non-residents. Inn is very popular and noise late into the evening (after 11:30pm) could be an issue for some guests. |

Carol was very friendly and helpful It was being refurbed and we felt like we'd been put in the old part of the hotel. The refrurbed rooms looked lovely, so we were a bit disappointed we didn't get one. |

The hotel was as described, narrow corridors, creaky staircases, beautiful refurbished en-suite room with four poster bed - full of charachter but with wi-fi and flat screen tv! Our room was on the front of the building overlooking outside seating -we were serenaded by some fantastic welsh voices at the end of the night - a totally enjoyable stay, topped of by a lovely full English breakfast. |
