Nothing was too much trouble and all staff member that we encountered were friendly and very accommodating. The chef went out of his wasy to provide food suitable for my vegan diet. The whole place was spotless and warm despite the December weather. Would definitely go there again. |

The hotel was lovely from the outside and in. The reception team were fantastic and very helpful. The room was a mix of modern appliances within an authentic period building. I would recommend this to a business tripper like myself or a couple looking for a quiet, romantic getaway. |

Really enjoyed the stay, food excellent along with comfort and cleanliness and a warm welcome on arrival. Location and ambience of Inn itself were fantastic, somewhere I'd really look forward to returning to. Often no-one on duty in the restaurant and despite it being quite empty we had to wait some ten minutes to be seated. Were then told to sit anywhere we chose! Side orders with main meal were never delivered and once staff realised (or could be tracked down) it was too late. I wouldn't however allow a couple of minor indescretions spoil my visit, nor preclude a definite return. Its more to do with the age of serving/waiting staff these days generally and a lack of attention to guests. |

The hotel has recently been refurbished to a very high standard, but still keeps it's old world charm. All the staff were very friendly and helpfull and the food was excellent. Overall a very enjoyable break and we would highly recommend it. |

Refurbishment is still ongoing with little interference to guests. Fantastic food and warm and friendly staff at hand to give a helping hand. Thumbs up to John and Cris who managed to transform an old Inn to what it is today. Everthing is being fixed and I don't see any negatives |

The Black Boy Inn was a well situated Hotel right in the heart of Caernarfon, and only a few steps away from all the main attractions. The building is very ancient, but at the same time modern. The staff were all very friendly and helpful, especially the waiter in the restaurant and the breakfast crew. I stayed for one night, and it was very comforting to be safely tucked into a cosy warm room as a stormy night raged outside. My bedroom was very clean, and the shower was splendid. I had to dodge the low black ceiling beams, but this was not a problem and just added to the ambience. I suspect that this Inn gets very busy in the height of the tourist season, but there is plenty of room in the public rooms. The public bars both had lovely open coal fires burning which added a wonderful atmosphere to the whole place. Overall I would recommend you to visit this fine old establishment, and if I was in the area again I would have no hesitation in staying for a longer period. The main downside was the terribly overcooked fish in the Restaurant, and it’s completely unimaginative accompaniment of tinned “garden” peas, tinned tomatoes and overcooked chips. The meal was a great disappointment, but to be fair the Restaurant was very busy, and the chef was probably over burdened. However the breakfast more than made up for the evening meal. Another downside was the lack of adequate parking; I had to park in the nearby public parking area, where I was awarded an unwelcoming parking fine on a Sunday morning! |

We had intended only one night at the hotel but we found it so pleasant we decided to stay on another day. The bedroom (No 4) was very comfortable and interesting. I had made repeated requests to repair the central heating radiator in our bedroom but unfortunately this was not succesfully accomplished. |

It is a genuine original inn, with modern features sympathetically added for guest comfort. Proximity to the heart of caernarfon was a bonus. Friendly atmosphere all round. Bit of noise from bar jukebox but in fairness staff offered to turn it off without being asked |

The double room I stayed in was very comfortable and well done out. Free parking on site is also very useful. I would stay here again. Cosy atmosphere. Friendly staff. Breakfast was lovely. There was a private function going on in the dining room and the bar was full so I had to go out for dinner to a nearby restaurant. This is not ideal when you're a girl travelling on her own. |

On arriving at the Black Boy Inn we were met by the propieter who made us feel very welcome when showing us to our room and giving us a brief history chat about the accommodation. Our room was very comfortable and all we needed was available. Breakfast in the morning was superb and just what we needed to set us up for the day. ps thanks to the attentive staff for organising taxi's for us. Cheers helen and chris |

We had room 24 and all we could smell were the odours from the kitchen. We were not told to book a table for dinner and had to eat in the bar. We will not be staying again |

Royal Victoria Hotel is on the edge of the Snowdonia National Park and set within 30 acres of woodland. It offers breathtaking views and is a perfect base for exploring. |
Rich in original character and traditional charm, this beautifully preserved Grade II listed building offers good food, local welsh ales, 4-star guest accommodation and views over Caernarfon Bay. |
The family-run hotel offers clean, functional and good value accommodation, centrally located on the Isle of Anglesey between Gaerwen and Llangefni, in the small hamlet of Pentre Berw. |
