Got a corner room with a loch view. Comfortable bed and duvets (also on the extra bed). Had an extra bed rolled in with plenty of space to spare. Bathroom was tiled and clean. Restaurant helpful if you wanted anything not on the menu. Tried the spa bath, but had to drain the water as the jets obviously had not been cleaned for a while. The room could also have benefitted with a bit more cleaning of the base boards, windows and the dust layer on the bed canopy. |

The view from the hotel room was beautiful and the staff were friendly and helpful I felt the hotel could have had a bit more atmosphere. After dinner, it was dark and rainy outside, so my partner and I decided to stay indoors, but there were no fires to warm the sitting room or any music playing. |

The setting is beautiful. The old world charm is awesome. 1. We tried checking in half an hour early (2:30 pm instead of 3:00 pm), but were told to come back later, as "the room wasn't serviced". We asked to just look at the room momentarily. It was fully made and ready. My wife is 6 months pregnant. This is the least consideration one can expect from a luxury hotel. 2. We paid quite a bit for area. One would think its mainly because of the location and the view. But, we were given a room with a view of another rooms window. Very frustrating. |

Wel when we got there they double bood our room so we did not have one they move us over to another one. They did not call or anything I book this room for our wedding aviversay and they ruin it. They did give us a bottle of wine and said sorry but that just does not cut it. I will never use them again or recommend them to anybody. I didn't even have a chance to pick a hotel that I wanted to stay in. Yes again I said thay they over book the room and found out later that they are in money trouble and they do this all the time. I did not have a choice to stay at one that I wanted to. |

The situation is excellent, directly overlooking a sea loch, close to Fort William and Glencoe. The staff were friendly and the food was ok. Despite having booked three months in advance, one of our two rooms was adapted for disabled use, leaving me feeling we had been pushed aside in favour of other guests. There were coach parties staying on both nights, not really what we were expecting; however, this did not interfere with the table service. |

excellent location with fantastic views. Breakfast was good and numerous choices for dinner a plus point. Rooms were a fair size and comfortably furnished. No lift available to second floor. Bar prices were heavy given that the audience was captive. Large party booked into restaurant at 7.00 meaning that all other guests had to eat early or late! Generally needed a stronger management presence |

Nice old castle. Beautiful few, but there are very different rooms with seafew. The most are in a conect with large diffuse ways and steps. We changed the room and got one with jacuzzi. But when started, there came very bad air and the water got brown. After it took a long time till the air in the bathroom and the room was clear. |

Foreign waitress tried hard to compensate for the bus parties who understandably took priority When we booked we were unaware that the hotel would be coping with large bus parties |

The evening staff were lovely, allowing us to re open the bar when we got back late one evening and didn't want the night to end! Also we had loch views without asking, which was lovely. We were told off by the restaurant manager on the 1st morning for seating ourselves rather than walking round to th front entrance and booking in with him! Also the shower curtain had been washed and put back up crumpled, which looked very shabby. |

The hotel's location is amazing. When you book a "Lochview" room, you will have the most beautiful view of Loch Leven. Hotel room was very clean and fulfilled all basic needs. Doors and walls are very thin in this hotel, so it can be quite noisy at times. During our stay a lot of military planes passed by that were flying really low (F-16's and others). |

the surroundings comment only -: on arrival at reception no mention was made of pool at sister hotel, it would have been good for our children. When booking for dinner we assumed it would be a la carte (should have asked for menu ) children's' food poor and not much of a special dining event for ourselves. We would stay again without children and dine out. |

the common areas, the building exterior. The staff were very pleasant although I'd say they have a lot to deal with. We had booked two rooms, the twin room was extreemly shabby and the bathroom not clean and the whole room smelt very musty. The second room was better though quite basic. The dinner menu was awful only surpassed by the poor quality of the food itself, of our party of three two just had starters and that was enough, the other had a main course which was really poor. |

The view from the outside of the hotel was amazing and the staff were helpfull and friendly. We booked a double room and got two single beds pushed together, we asked for a double sheet which they simply left in the room and didn't fit the beds. Not good. also the view out of the hotle room was non existent we had the blinds closed rather than look out. (Room 114) |

actually setting and the buiding itself. Our room. we appreciate we booked some time ago however the 2nd floor lighting and air in the room, due to the size of the window, was poor. Despite requesting a double room our bed was small and uncomfortable which resulted in both me and my husband having two sleepless nights! We often stay in hotels whilst up north but frankly decided due to the room we would not go back here. |

The Cruachan combines its traditional Scottish character with modern comforts and an enviable location overlooking Loch Linnhe and the Morvern Hills beyond. |
A warm, family welcome awaits at our traditional West Highland inn/small hotel, beautifully situated on the banks of Loch Linnhe. |
Perfectly situated on the shores of Loch Linnhe, Campfield House is a friendly, family- run bed and breakfast, 3 miles (4.8 km) from Fort William. |
