The Bath Hotel  

Very friendly staff who couldn't do enough for you and the best cooked breakfasts I have tasted since the last time I stayed here.

Shower pressure was low

Rooms smelt and were poor condition

The staff were extremely friendly and helpful and the location was great.

The bedroom was really modernised but the bathroom was old looking which was a shame.

The room smelled very strongly of damp, the bathroom needed updated, the sheets were stained but appeared to be clean and the bathroom needed further cleaning as there was dust along the radiator, dirt in the corners etc. The entrance to the hotel and the breakfast area appeared clean but it was the room that let it down.

With the reports on here I booked this hotel instead of another. There was no breakfast which had been paid for and I feel totally mislead by the ratings on this site. In fairness the room was clean but the opinions on this site are incorrect.

I really like this hotel,I have stayed a few times before and I came back because of the lovely staff,they make you feel so welcombe, the breakfast is freshly cooked and a good choice,the rooms are niceley decorated with all that you kneed,tea/coffee/hairdryer/T.V. The room was clean and the bathroom was spotless. Once again thank you the bath hotel I wil be back soon.

We only stayed one night as we were visiting family. The room was comfortable, clean provided everything you need. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The breakfastwas basic but perfectly adequate.

The restaurant only served breakfast. Would have been better if it'd served evening meals too.

Good parking facilities and just outside the main Reading centre. Friendly staff with a smile and helpful manner. The bed was very comfortable and the white linen was clean a crisp. The breakfast selection was very good and plenty of it. Anna ensured we were looked after. This was an excellent value for money hotel and one night stay. There were a couple of eating pubs within 500 meters of the hotel.

The room was a good size but the on-suit was built in to the room with stud walls which does not allow for any noise reduction. It was on the small side and "tired". The towel radiator was scalding hot which was good for comfort but not using the sink. When washing and shaving it was so tight to the sink it was not a pleasant experience unavoidably touching it with bare skin. There was no thermostat to turn it down.
