Hotel was ideally placed close to Loughbourgh Station. Staff were friendly and helpful. Choice of cooked breakfast offered on Sunday. Lack of choice at breakfast on Monday. Other food did not appear to be on offer. (Bar snacks?)

Very convenient location just about in the town centre. Room was absolutely spotless. Room had recently been refurbished - especially the bathroom which had obviously been completely redone with new tiles and fittings. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was excellent. Bathroom was very small - especially when using the toilet when I had a very good close-up view of the wall!

The lady who signed me in in and who served me in the bar later, Debby, I think, was very helpful. It was a pleasure to be served by her The walls are far too thin. I was in room 31 and, whilst it was not an entirely unpleasant experience, listening to the couple in the throes of passion in the room next door was not conducive to a good night's sleep. They were not being unusually active or noisy either.

Cheap...if you're fussy about having 20 towels in your bathroom, or power points on every wall then don't stay here. If you're in Loughborough visiting mates, having a night out or need somewhere cheap to crash for the night then it's perfect and really good value.

Location The rooms were small and there was no hair dryer. Breakfast was OK, but could have been better e.g. include mushrooms, tomatoes and/or fried bread. Although clean, generally the whole building seeemd dark and gloomy.

Would not recomend, very poor standard. Don't know how the fire officer passed it as safe, stairs very tight and low, steps to room very steep and small, slip easy. Over all the it was very grubby. Most staff were pleasant. Area around the hotel very run down. Would not recomend, very poor standard. Staff had a couldn't care less attitude, not very helpfull,i had a problem as I had forgot my plug for my charger,it has a usb connection so I asked guy at hotel if he would plug into his computer, answer not got 1,I asked if there was an internet cafe handy, answer dont know,so I went up the road to a Ramada hotel and not only did the guy there understand my problem he got out a box of chargers and found 1 for my phone, plugged it in and charged my phone, not a penny cost, now thats considerate service,i will never stay at the Beauchief again, also no iron or telephone in room, I have paid less and got more,at £39 for a pub hotel I would have expected breakfast at that price, but no that was £6.95 extra, star rating 1 star, wake up to peoples needs,

Free Wifi worked well. Beer has a reasonable price at the bar. I got a very small room. Thank god I'm not claustrophobic. Furniture is old too.
