Location was to me the main advantage of staying at this hotel. The rooms I reserved were classified as deluxe ,I booked three rooms that should not be classified in the same category. One of them was located in the basement next to the staff office and house keeping storage area with windows that open towards the main road which made it noisy from the inside out,the other room was quite small not to be compared to the other two and located in the fifth floor you have to climb two flight of steps because the elevator will not reach this far.Avoid room no 1 and 54 if u want to book in this hotel.

The only thing the Beaufort has going for it is the location. The room was tiny, I know this is typical of London but it had a double bed, and only enough space for one bedside table. The walls were paper thin, you could clearly hear conversations in the next room. The decor of the hotel and common areas were tired to say the least. The staff were acceptably pleasant, but did nothing to make you feel welcome or offer any assistance. I stay in at least 30 four or five star hotels every year and I have to say this was the worst so far this year

It felt warm and homely after I had been travelling for a couple of weeks. There was a power problem while I was there and afterwards I was very anxious about using the lift!

The staff was fine, but the room was small and cramped. The fold-out sofa was bottom-of -the-line and uncomfortable. At these prices, you might expect the Beaufort to invest in better fold-outs. The shower needed a mechanical engineer to figure out. But over all, I have to say the staff were wonderfully helpful with the concierge types of assistance and it's not their fault that the hotel is claustrophobic. My elevator at home is twice as large as the Beaufort'S. But let us go back to the staff and say that they were quite helpful. The fold-out bed. Beastly. We have a company in the us Texas that makes great ones. How about a little free trade? It was unsettling to see Knightsbridge taken over by muslims. I wonder how they similarly would greet me in Riyadh.

Very nice location around the corner from Harrod's and other (smaller) shops. Several very good restaurant in the Islamic dominated neighbourhood. Therefore excellent Lebanese and Moroccan food. Hotel itself is quaint, tucked away in a side street. Staff are warm, helpful. Guest room that I had shocked me in its size - surprisingly larger than other London hotel rooms I've used. And a very comfortable bed. I much appreciated the free wifi throughout the hotel as well. The complementary drinks in the lobby and other lounge until 23:00 offered a great opportunity to meet other guests. Yes, I recommend the Beaufort and would stay there again. There are no mini-bars in the rooms but this was not greatly missed due to the welcome complementary drinks and social option noted above. The lift is very small and did not operate well during my stay so I had to walk four flights now and then. Attendants told me that the lift would be fixed on Monday, following my stay.

Location is undeniably the strength if the hotel. Our room was very expensive for the price we paid. Not enough closet room was available for me and my fiance. Narrow stairs had to be taken to go to the bathroom. No space to put our suitcases. We had to take the elevator to the fourth floor to go down one floor to our room. Elevator was working one out of two time

Definitely not inexpensive, but a reasonable value for London, considering location, comfort, quiet and pleasant and competent staff. The Beaufort is the only hotel I've stayed at in London in recent years to which I would look forward to returning. The only drawback worth mentioning is that it is in a townhouse with only one small elevator that can accommodate no more than one passenger with baggage or two without. But this was only a minor inconvenience for us considering all the other advantages.

Complimentary afternoon tea service. Complimentary water (both still and sparkling) and cookies in room every day. Free, well-stocked bar in reception with both alcoholic and non-alchoholic drinks open to guests at any time. Lounge with complimentary coffee, tea and snacks open to guests all day long. Great city location close to all transportation, shopping and dining yet on a quiet tree-lined street. Free WiFi (most hotels in the region charge extra for this). Staff was friendly and helpful. No dining room. (But a wide-ranging choice of breakfast is served in your room, reception or the lounge for an additional cost as in any hotel.)
