Decor, location, price, tea & coffee facilities. Walls were a bit thin. I could hear the "neighbours" very clearly :)

The warmth of the welcome, fresh, clean, contemporary design of the decor sympathetically in keeping with the period of the building. Facilities were very comfortable, and the added touches were very pleasing. The breakfast choice and quality was top notch. The owner was very helpful and friendly, even allowing me to borrow their ironing board! All in all a total pleasure.

Friendly, family run establishment. Very clean and comfortable. Lovely little residents lounge area with free internet access and bar facilities (BYOB) nice if you prefer not to stay in your bedroom all evening. Excellent reliable taxi service to the airport for early flights. A small seat or bench outside for smokers would be a nice addition.

Brief overnight stay but very friendly, helpful staff particularly when a situation with a boarding pass for flight next morning had to be attended to. Rooms quiet, clean & delightfully decorated. Tea/coffee facility with biscuits/chocolate bars. Walking distance & choice of venues for evening meal.

I stayed here one night only to get the early flight from Prestwick airport. The hotel is 10 min walk from the station Newton-on-Ayr. The room was on the ground floor and quiet. Apart from tea and coffee facilities there were biscuits that was nice:) The owner was very friendly and attentive. The choice of yougurts for breakfast was very limited and not nice. The price for cold breakfast is the same as for Full Scottish.

I wouldn't normall choose b+b but needed somewhere reasonably priced for an overnight stay near my work. The beechwood is more like a small hotel allowing you to go and please as you like which suited me perfectly. The owner was very pleasant and helpful and the room (economy double) was comfortable and clean. The tea tray and kettle in the room and toilettries in the bathroom were a nice touch. Would recommend and will use in future. Unable to adjust the heating in the bedroom which was too hot in the morning. I arrived back late after work and the car park was full. Luckily there was on street parking nearby as i would have been concerned parking far away as i was on my own.

The owners were very friendly and welcoming and as we were there for a wedding they were incredibly flexible about the time getting back as it was late. The breakfast was lovely made exactly as ordered lots of choice which with three children was great , we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would gladly recommend to anyone looking to stay in ayr
