Room very good. TV excellent. Breakfast very good. Dinner satisfactory Only problem was the door lock. Worn lock could take many attempts to open it. Whilst away at breakfast on the last day, we did not lock the room --to avoid the problem of opening the door.

Very good location for myself as i was visiting family in Heywood Good breakfast. The TV didnt work. The shower had no power and just trickled out. Furniture in the room was very shabby even though the room had obviously been decorated. When we told them at reception about these things they just laughted.

The shower was very slow and leaky. Also there were stains on the bed linen. As we were only there overnight we did not mention to the reception.

The staff were very helpful, welcoming and most importantly..smiled. The facilities in the room and within the hotel were more than adequate but most importantly.. worked. The food was tasty and value for money. Really liked the amount of space within the room and especially the toilet/shower room. Easy to get to from the M62 - 5 mins i reckon. I couldn't find any form of heat in the toilet/showeroom. Not a big deal but did find it strange.

The room did not have anywhere to sit, although this had been stated on the website. Although there was a mirror in the room there was no dressing table and there was a small coffee table in front making it difficult to do makeup and hair. The tap in the bathroom was very loose. The bed was creaky and uncomfortable whereby you could feel all the springs. There was only one towel in the room so we had to ask for another, and as there was one member of staff manning reception and the bar we offered to get it ourselves as the laundry room next to our room was open. The refreshments in the room had not been replenished. Breakfast was slow. There was only one member of staff waiting and she was busy with a family that were quite demanding, hence other guests were having to wait even longer.

Hotel is pretty good and the rooms are quite nice, but you can see they are doing everything they can to save every penny. The breakfasts though, are pretty good. At least you do get genuine Kelloggs cornflakes and Heinz Beans and so on, They turn the central heating off through the night. That is the only heating in the room and you will freeze if you stay there in the Winter. We were freezing on the first night, we happened to be carrying an electric heater in the car, which we had to sneak into the room each night. Take your own little heater if you stay there in the Winter!

The staff we VERY friendly but it made up for many deficiencies in the hotel Two of us were staying in seperate rooms and the shower leaked out of the bottom onto the floor in both rooms. The whole hotel smelt musty and needed a lick of paint. They failed to cope with the breakfast service - queues out of the dining area meant that we were unable to eat. Would suggest a longer breakfast window, especially if they are encouraging people to stay and watch their live shows until late. You can't have it both ways!

Location Filthy bathroom, generally unclean throughout the bedroom, the fan didn't work in the bathroom, the shower head was broken, the paint was flaking off the coving, the mirror was dangerously hanging off the wall, the whb was loose, the tiles in the shower cubicle were black and mouldy and several adjoining room occupants insisted on slamming doors laughing and shouting until 4am. I had two boiled eggs for breakfast, neither of which were cooked properly.

the staff were very friendly and eager to help, the room was clean with a very comfy bed, and very warm on an icey winters night. very affordable. The distance stated on the website from Oldham football club is incorrect, it then cost us £15 each way from to the ground.

We visited Rochdale to attend a funeral - so not a particularly happy visit. The hotel was pleasantly situated, and the staff were very welcoming of both us and our dog - indeed, they made a fuss of the dog (northern speak for welcoming her). The room was a little tired, but is programmed for refurbishment. The four meals we had in the evening (2 nights, two of us) were well cooked, presented and value for money. Breakfasts were also good. Breakfast service did finish a little early at 09.00h. Very little. £15 per night for our dog was a little excessive. It did not include food for her!

Location, price and provision of a generally pleasant stay. Generous and wholesome breakfast. Needs redecorating in brighter colours, including more modern carpets. Hot water at bath and basin could have been hotter. Net curtains or blinds would have been nice at the windows.

Bed very old. Tiles broken in bathroom on floor. Bed side lamps covered in dust. Breakfast sausage was vile !. Worn carpets in hall ways. Paint work needs redoing. Out side garden looked tired and untidy. Main entrance should be locked 11pm but every time we went outside the door was left unlocked. Only 1 mug in room when I rang reception I was told ... Everywhere is locked up u will have to share the mug !!!

The breakfast was ok. Not impressed at all. Booked a double for a one night stay to see friends, but when we booked in the room smelt as though someone had just used the toilet. The rest of the hallways smelt of air fresheners trying to mask odours. The shower didn't work (surely housekeeping should have checked beforehand??) so we were offered a derelict room on another floor, but chose to just use the shower instead. Staff were apologetic but management were not at all interested and side stepped the complaint - but they still took the full cost of the room. The rooms were grubby and very, very tired - don't trust the photographs at all. The fire door had a 3-4 cm gap below it - it wouldn't have stopped a thing, so be concerned for your safety as well. Note, on their own website there are no guest reviews - says a lot!
