Great food, but need to pre-book your table. Well thought out accomodation, although on a slope and happy to take dogs at a small extra charge of £6.

Out of the ordinary, quirky.Very friendly. Loved it. Website is excellent, that's what attracted us to start with, it highlighted that the Black Horse was not just some run-of-the-mill hotel. I suggest that you continue to develop it using a similar style.

We were made to feel very welcome. The receptionist went out of her way to ensure that our needs were met and arranged an early breakfast for us on our morning of departure.

The food and the staff were very good. We also liked our room which had it own front door and it's own parking place. No comfortable bar area to enjoy a drink it was really geared just for food

I was there to attend my sister-in-laws wedding, and the staff did everything they could to make it perfect. We decided to stay overnight, and the room was lovely, spotlessly clean and very comfortable. Was impressed that umberellas were provided for guests to use to get to the restaurant in the rain! Would definately come back for another visit I have only one complaint, and this is for me personally. While sitting having the meal in the conservatory, I was sitting at the end of the table by the fire exit, and there was a terrible draught blowing under the door. Probably it was worse because the weather was very cold. I did ask a member of staff if anything could be done about it, but he explained that as it was a fire exit, it couldn't be blocked. May I suggest a rubber draught excluder attacched to the bottom of the door. But I must say, no one else felt it

We were able to park right outside our room & it was one of the closest to the pub which we appreciated as my husband cannot walk far at the moment and needs to use 2 sticks , the staff were friendly & helpful, the accommodation was spacious & comfortable with a large wetroom and the dinner we had in the pub was fantastic. my only comment is that there was no hot water in the hand basins in the wetroom. when i enquired i was told these basins were cold-fill only as this was one of a block of 4 rooms especially for the disabled. i find it hard to understand the reasoning behind the decision to have cold fill only in the hand basins - surely disabled people deserve to have the option to wash their hands or freshen up in hot water

Our third time at the Black Horse for Dinner, B&B. Every time the same. Comfortable, clean and spacious family room. My wife and son have allergies to cats and dogs. The staff tell us that they deep clean the rooms after cat/dog owners visit and before my wife and son move in. We have had no problems during our stays. Good breakfast and very good restaurant with a varied menu, again giving attention to allergy problems. The Black Horse is situated so close to the M20 it could be a motorway service station, but only in price…the peace and quiet, the comfort, such good food. You don't get that in a motel. Only had time for one night this time.

The staff were friendly, informative and very helpful. The Inn was welcoming with excellent food. We loved the open fire, the beams, and the hops which gave it a rustic feel. Hotel rooms were clean, neat and very comfortable. This was the ideal place for our short 'getaway'. Located near enough to many pretty villages, and beautiful scenery. We will definitely return.

The Food was Excellent However ensure you book and if Possible get a table in the Lower Dining Area as very crowded in the Upper Area. The 2 waiting staff we had were absolutely superb ... Rooms were spacious warm and very clean. We had no reason to be Disappointed at all .

The atmosphere at the Black horse Inn is wonderful. Friendly, relaxed and fabulous food and wines etc. the accommodation is clean, tidy, comfortable and modern. I booked to stay here after a lovely celebratory meal as it meant we could enjoy a few drinks with our meal and not have to drive home. Very friendly and accommodating staff indeed!

We loved the atmosphere in the pub/rest, and all the staff were very friendly. Lovely log fire burning whilst we enjoyed pre dinner drinks. Food was top quality and the menu had plenty of great choices. We also stayed overnight for the first time and really enjoyed the room we had been given, everything we could have needed was provided.
