Very welcoming to a tired overworked businessman! Nothing was too much trouble. Nice clean chalet style accommodation. Food was excellent as were the evening staff. I travel the whole of the uk and this was most enjoyable, relaxing stay.

Friendly Service and quaint set-up. Nice food and ambiance in the Pub itself. Bathroom extractor very weak and big condensation issue.

Lovely large rooms, welcoming staff, the way the main building has been built down a slope is interesting. Food was good. We had two rooms - only one had a rug on the floor. In any case, another rug would also have been handy near the bathroom, as the floor is pretty cold for bare feet in the winter. Although the motel idea has a lot of advantages, it does mean that -whatever the weather - you need to go outside to reach the bar/restaurant / breakfast.

We stayed here for one night on the way to the Eurotunnel. Very convenient. Beer, food and breakfast were all super, excellent reminder of Britain for a pair of expats, who miss Blighty.

Very good location, beautiful inn, excellent resturant menu and excellent breakfast. After arriving on a busy Sunday afternoon there was hardly any room to park as a hotel guest.

We received a very warm welcome, the room was comfortable, great decor. Breakfast was well prepared and tasty too. We stayed there as we were attending a funeral nearby but will certainly return for a happier stay again

Extremely comfortable. The room had everything you needed for a very comfortable stay. Arriving late as a lone female it was a little concerning wandering around the site in the dark from car park to reception to find reception was closed and then back over to the pub to get checked in and then back to find the room in the hotel annex.

The room was exactly what we wanted, with the dog able to be in the porch. The room was comfortable, clean and complete with all the necessities. The food was good and served hot. Breakfast was excellent and served quickly. We would ask the management to consider banning mobile phones in the dinning area at night, we were disturbed 6 times at dinner by neighbouring diners constantly on the phone. Food was good but service a little slow at the evening meal.

Large room in a very quiet location separate from the hotel. Very friendly staff both in the hotel / restaurant and at reception as well. Good dinner menu and pretty good value all round.
