With stunning views of the River Stour and the picturesque Dorset countryside, this excellent value for money hotel provides the perfect rural retreat.

The traditional and informal interior of Bridge House Hotel helps to create the friendly and welcoming atmosphere that is one of the hotel's trademarks. The restaurant and bar provide anything from a bar snack through to a more formal meal and have a full selection of beverages and an extensive wine list. Why not sit out on the patio while you relax with your favourite drink, listen to the sounds of the river and delight in the local wildlife? The hotel is conveniently positioned close to both the beach and the New Forest. Beaulieu and Edwardian Christchurch are within easy reach and Poole is only 8 miles away. Also close by are Knoll Gardens, an Owl Sanctuary and Tower Park Leisure Complex.

Nice location,food not bad,friendly staff

run down,windows you could not shut properly,and needs a complete refit throughout.We were told it is under new management as from this month.

Can not say that there was anything that I particularly liked

The service in the restaurant was poor and the food was cold or not cooked. Several people left with out eating. The breakfast was also cold and the eggs were dried up. I understand they are in the process of being taken over. But would think twice about stay there again

Staff totally unhelpful and to the point of ignoring guests. The breakfast was a complete disaster no cutlery cups plates dried food . We had to ask for tea and toast. The tea I never received on the last day. The service was totally poor. The decor is so dated and worn. It needs a complete makeover !!!

Very tatty decor . the room was not dirty just grubby and very
tired looking

As above reception staff v helpful but bar and breakfast v poor and

The quality of the meal we had in the hotel on the evening after we booked in was poor. The price of the steaks my wife and I ordered was reasonable but the quality of the meat was not. This was the only less than excellent part of our stay.
