Good breakfast, comfy beds, room temperature about right, located within walking distance of where our family live

We chose the bruce hotel because we had been invited to a party, it went with a swing and was enjoyed by everybody I would not like to have stayed there more than a few nights as I found it to be a bit tired and in need of some tlc

A lovey welcome was given to us when we arrived and also a very pleasant receptionist when we checked out The car park was very small but we managed to get in but I found the approach to reception from car park was grotty

I stayed at the Bruce Hotel as I was working nearby. The price was very reasonable for a hotel. The breakfast was of a good standard and plenty of it. Overall quite pleased with my stay there.

The first room I was offered hadn't been cleaned. Maybe an oversight, so I rang down to reception who were extremely apologetic and straight away transfered me to another room, of which seemed to be a higher standard than the first. After that small disruption I had no problem whatsoever with the hotel at all.

breakfast. Bacon had consistency of leather. I had breakfast at 7am, but it is quite obvious that the bacon had been precooked quite some time previously and put under a hot lamp where it went dry and hard!

Its in a good location close to East Kilbride shopping centre. Good value for money

Decor rather tired

We stayed at the bruce hotel,we had to move rooms at midnight and also wehad themost discusting room and this was meant to be a top suite! We complained but got nothing back!WOULD Never stay there again!

Very run down - paper peeling off the walls and ceiling. No room service, no direction to an evening meal from staff, nothing near by to eat or see. Several TV channels in the room did not work, directed only to cerial at breakfast - had to ask twice about the cooked option.

Booked an overnight stay to attend 40th birthday party. Room was clean and comfortable with excellent breakfast the next morning.

No leisure facilities.

An excellent breakfast and pleasant, helpful staff.

The room could have done with some renovating, but it was clean and served its purpose.

The hotel was in a very convenient location and caters for civil partnerships very well and sensitively and that why our relative chose the hotel. The function suite was absolutely excellent and we liked the adjacent patio. The bar, restaurant and reception service was all very good and food portions very very generous. The Bruce's best feature is its really friendly staff. Its a relaxed hotel and has a warm feel. I would not hesitate to recommend it to others.

The room decoration was dull and the space quite limited for an executive room. In fairness, the couple whose wedding we were attending had a magnificent room and were delighted with it. The underground car park was small but we had no problem getting in and out. Could the ground in this car park be resurfaced please? I had on designer wedding shoes and nearly broke my heel as it was so uneven and churned up. Sorry to moan a bit more but fresh prawns and not nasty defrosted frozen ones would make a huge difference to starters.

We loved that the staff where frendly and the room service was very fast . The food was wonderful. The rooms cleaned to a very high standered. We would recommend this hotel to all our friends and will defo use this hotel again in futher trips to scotland.

Our room was very noisy next to a night club, our view was a roof and a air conditioning unit and cheminy. The bed was very unfortable and could not sleep due to nightclub music. No bath in room only a shower fitted into a tight bathroom. Could only get two fuzzy channels on the LG TV.
