The BrudenellThe Parade, IP15 5BU Aldeburgh (Show map) Excellent, Score from 153 reviews“the position of the hotel accommodates a stay at the seaside whatever the weather. When the weather is fine it allows folks to walk straight out onto the front parade to enjoy the resort but if not, the facilities give a perfect place to just sit and relax and take in the view in comfort.”
Colleen,

A good first impression which was maintained throughout our stay. Staff were helpful at all times and gave guests the feeling that they were happy in their work. Restuarant met expectations at each visit. We were sorry to be only staying for the one night, and would return. Not least, we both loved the quiet and peaceful location.

Very comfortable - modern style - friendly and attentive staff - super seafront location. Soundproofing between floors in the hotel building is not good.

Very professional but friendly staff. After a long walk it was a refreshing treat to have a decent restaurant within the hotel as so often you need to seek a meal elsewhere but no need with this hotel. The sea view from our bedroom was amazing too and definitely worth paying a little extra for as we were able to watch the sun rise from our bed which was another real treat.

We were greeted very warmly at reception and informed that we had been given an upgrade. The room was lovely and had a superb view of the sea. Although we didn't eat dinner at the hotel we had a very good breakfast in a lovely dining area. Staff we met during our brief stay were very friendly and efficient. Woul definitely stay there again.

Modern decor and furnishings as result of recent makeover. Occasional noises from adjacent rooms. Not clear speech but footfalls and running water.

Excellent location with good decor throughout. Room overlooked boiler flues at rear of hotel which was noisy at night. Staff need more customer focussed training.

My husband and I really enjoyed the wonderful room we stayed in. The view from the bedroom/sitting area was fabulous and we could not have bettered our time we spent in a room which gave us just what we wanted. The sea was at our doorstep. The bathroom was quaint, very nautical, and the bath provided us with loads of hot water to relax in. I particularly enjoyed the bathroom luxury items. I wish I had known of this hotel when my children were little it would have been an ideal hotel to have brought them to stay. Excellent breakfast, very filling. Grateful for the lift! We were disappointed in the dining room. For us we prefer a more sophisticated room with candles and tablecloths. To be fair however this is a seaside hotel and for that purpose is ideal. Families with young children would be very happy eating there.

The Brudenell seemed quite understated and as a result we probably enjoyed the hotel more as we did not have particularly high expectations. We have made numerous day trips to Aldeburgh but never stayed over in the region as it is relatively close to home but found the hotel to be a perfect venue for our overnight stay. Service was attentive without being over the top but staff were helpful and knowledgeable. We would and have now recommended the hotel to friends and family who may want to go away for a couple of nights without having to travel too far. If I was to have an issue I would say that the meal deal booked in association with the eadt was a little disappointing and I would not recommend that fellow guests take advantage of similar offers. The hotel boasts a reasonable reputation for food and I would say that the quality of the food on offer through that particular deal did not enhance the reputation of the hotel which is disappointing consisdering that we enjoyed all other aspects of our stay including the delicious Suffolk Breakfasts.

We very much enjoyed the ambience and thje food was excellent. I t was lovely to have an upgrade and we really enjoyed the view of the sea, especially watching the sunrise. The atmosphere of both the lounge and the restaurant was really friendly and informal and it was easy to park. I particularly enjoyed the walks near the hotel. The only thing I would criticise you for is that there were no soap dishes/shower caddies, which made it difficult especially for my partner, who suffers from arthritus, to bend down to pick up shower gels/shampoos. Otherwise, no complaints at all.

“A place to totally chill-out. Beautiful part of the Suffolk coastline. The actual pub/restaurant was perfect to sit with a glass of wine, in front of an open fire with a very relaxing ambience. Food was excellent in the restaurant and then back to the open fire for coffe, the retire to a beautifully comfortable bedroom. Just perfect for a short break. We will definitely go back for more. ” Louise, Huntingdon |
