The room was very cleverly designed to make maximum use of the space. Location in the Merchant City was perfect. Excellent bar and bar food with good atmosphere.
Bed was on the firm side.
Loved the location as i was at a concert at the old fruit market. The staff were very helpful and friendly.
The room was a bit run down and the mattress was very thin and uncomfortable. The hotel had a hostel feel to it.
Central for bars and restaurants helpful staff no complaints will recommend
Booked a room with a double bed without thinking which slightly freaked out my 19year old son as it was too late to change room not much could be done when we got back at night there was a single bed put into room without asking very much appreciated. Really good location excellent price
Great location, excellent value for money. Would recomend and definetly stay again
Warm, quiet and perfect for business trip or city centre fun. Fantastic location in the Merchant City. Friendly staff, comfy bed, plenty of hot water, useful hairdryer and iron with ironing board too.
It would have been good to have an info sheet in the room with details of breakfast (as though it's not nec. included in the room you can buy it for under a fiver in the cafe) and also the wifi code (at the moment you need to ask for a piece of paper with it on at the reception).
Great location, good value for money. Very simply designed but if you are just looking for a place to sleep and have a shower this is a great place for you.
Little bit of mould in the bathroom
Staff very very friendly and helpful and facilitated us with early check in .
We were out and waited to get food till back only to be told they closed kitchen early as they were not busy so had to go back out again.
The location ,the bar ,the staff and food.
Window in room didn't close ,stain on the bed, cracked sink ,lights didn't work and mould in the bathroom.
Second time we've used this hotel. It's a very friendly place with a good feel to it. The staff are great and it's so convenient to the City.
The location friendly staff the room although compact had everything you needed fantastic
That breakfast was not included
Location,bar food ok.
The rooms were clean and with equipped with the necessary. We were a group of 3 and the room was still usable with the 3rd bed extended out
Nothing to report
Brilliant staff , location and accommodation mean I would recommend The Brunswick to anybody visiting Glasgow .
Clean comfy room. Modern and great decor
Only thing was shower curtain too short so no matter what, bathroom floor got soaked! Great shower tho. But this let room down a bit.
Arrived to early for check in and bags were waiting in room for us when we returned from our day outing
Breakfast not included in room price
the staff were very welcoming ,its got a very homely atmosphere, the rooms are spacious clean and comfy beds , and very central iwould recommend this hotel
Extremely friendly staff. Willing to do anything to help and provide local information. Basic facilities, but all we needed for a one night stop over. Location was convenient for every thing in the city.
Room was just a little too small and the main lights did not work.
Very friendly and helpful staff ! Close to Barrowland Ballroom where we watched Volbeat. Next time in Glasgow will definitely book this Hotel again.
Staff were very welcoming and the free whiskies for each guest were appreciated (and delicious). Good central location in a nice area with an easy stroll back from The Barrowlands at night. I slept like a log as the bed was lovely and comfortable.
It wasn't a problem for me at all but be warned that the compact room is indeed rather compact - but still perfectly comfortable.
staff very friendly, breakfast nice and nice touch the bottle of beer
The location is fantastic, the bed was very comfortable as well.
The room on arrival had a very strong odour of cigarettes. A member of staff offered a small air freshener but with other air fresheners that had previously been used it left the room with a strong mix of smells that was in the whole not pleasant
The room was advertised as compact, and it certainly was. Perfect for a one night stay though.
Virtually no soundproofing between the rooms so we could hear pretty much every move from our neighbours on both sides. Bathroom especially needed a good scrub.
Location, bistro downstairs.
Rooms are very small - wasn't really a problem as it clearly says so on hotel website, but some guests may have a difficulty with this. Continental breakfast wasn't up to much.
Location, cost & free whisky drink voucher on arrival (to be used at the hotel bar).
Had booked a twin room and paid extra to have an additional bed added so was expecting a room with 3 single beds. Arrived to find a double & a single bed. Not ideal for 3 friends sharing!
