The staff were very friendly and helpful. The public areas need to be repainted and the carpets need a very good clean.

Can find no fault whatsoever with this hotel. Stumbled upon you via the Internet whilst looking for accommodation for a recent concert in the city and was delighted with every aspect of my stay.

Proximity to city centre shops and restaurants. Breakfast and firendliness of staff. Unfortunately a resident had loud music on most of the night which the staff resolved for me.

The staff was extremely friendly and accommodating. I was upgraded to a better room which was nice as well. A complimentary cocktail could be had at the hotel cafe-pub on the ground floor while the room was very clean and tidy. As previously stated by other reviewers the corridors were indeed dark and painted dark purple but to me this wasn't off-putting. The cafe-pub open until late in the night was a bit rowdy but since the night I stayed was a weeknight it closed a bit early.

We did like the staff, they were very helpful and friendly, especially the breakfast staff that worked new year's morning in the cafe. The hotel location was perfect for shopping and access to entertainment. Although the room was clean enough, the overall appearance was poor. Several of the hooks were off the curtains and the carpet needs to be stretched as it is very wrinkled and was also a bit grubby. Several of the pot lights require replacing, especially the one above the dressing table area.

Excellent restaurant and great staff. Perfect for a city centre location. The decor in the stairways was so dark and depressing needs to be light and airy.

Very welcoming. The staff member on the desk was friendly and helpful. The room was small but very clean. Plenty storage for clothes. Bathroom small but adequate, nice products. Continental breakfast in the morning very good, served in pleasant area in the bar. Also staff again very pleasant and helpful. Complimentary Grouse whiskeys also a nice touch. Great location in the heart of the Merchant City. The staff make this hotel a hidden gem.

Location - was close to where I was attending a course. Staff were friendly and helpful Room was poorly lit - walls were painted in grey and dark burgundy - paint chipped. Carpet was badly stained. Room was very small - no where to sit apart from the low bed. Very disappointed. Corridors were also very dark - difficult to see room numbers on doors.

The staff was extremely helpful and welcoming (thanks, Ellen!), the location was excellent - right in the heart of the city. Very small but clean rooms, wi-fi connection, good breakfast in a very pleasant cafe/bar (hi, Stephen!) - our stay had really been awesome. I would definitely recommend this hotel.
