room was excellent, staff very caring, like the location
Noisy compressor for air conditioning outside window of 248
Location was good . restaurant food good. Generous bar area a good facility
Very small bedroom, while well appointed, simply did not have enough space to accommodate the furniture. Heating was not adjustable and room was very hot.
Food excellent for the party. We had room service for dinner and breakfast -- most efficient.. The bed was enormous and really comfy.
Our room was a long way from the restaurant.
Food was excellent and very good service for a very specific wedding menu Breakfast was excellent, hot plenty if it and fresh. The Rooms were very well appointed and have very comfortable beds. We were too hot but realised far too late where the AC switch was! Generally staff were very good and accommodating and the wedding arrangements and team led by Hanna were excellent
Shower was a bit weak and had no power Bar food was ok but service was hit and miss with too many new staff on together but generally ok. Early check in request was not done in time for arrival and although they say cant be guaranteed then why offer as a chargeable service. Find it disappointing considering the size if the hotel that this can't be done properly especially for wedding guests who are attending a wedding at the venue!
Most things that you would expect from a hotel of this standard
Very friendly and helpful staff.
Food wasn't as good as I expected.
A pleasant hotel in a pleasant setting. The new lounge and dining room are much improved and give views onto the attractive gardens. Refurbished rooms are excellent
Our visit was a disaster due to poorly trained and inattentive staff. Restaurant booking not passed on,order for snack not properly taken and badly served. Dinner for six completely spoilt by the kitchen serving the wrong meats with the wrong vegetables. Lifts not working or unavailable to guests for various reasons.
We booked because their website said they had real ale but they didn't so we had to walk some distance to find a proper pub
We liked the location, the garden around, the staff and the breakfast
Stayed here as a stop off for an early morning flight out of Heathrow. Have stayed here before due to close proximity of major routes and public transport
Rooms and service very good and all good value for money. Was convenient for visiting my friends and met my expectations
Seems to have a lot of large parties / weddings in particular so breakfast and check out pretty hectic...
Location was great for LEGOLAND and Heathrow airport. There was lots of parking. The reception staff and waiting staff at breakfast were extremely helpful and professional. The hotel room was comfortable and big enough for myself and my two kids.
I found one of the bar staff in the bar/lounge very unaccommodating and unfriendly. He had a 'can't be bothered attitude' and was extremely unaccommodating and unprofessional which was disappointing as he was one of the first members of staff we came into contact with when we arrived at the hotel which did not give a great first impression.
We picked an Executive Room as we were staying for 4 nights. Very spacious, although I struggled with internet! Lounge bar food was very good, whilst the hotel is in a perfect place to tour Windsor, Henley or into London.
The location of this hotel was very good, the village centre and train station were in walking distance. The majority of staff were friendly and helpful.
Unfortunately, this hotel was not a patch on other 4 star hotels that I have stayed in, in terms of comfort and facilities. Also, if you are a smoker, I would not recommend this hotel at all as although there was an outside seated smoking area, there was no consideration towards those who choose to smoke in terms of cover against the rain etc. This made it an uncomfortable stay for me as I didn't go on a leisure break to quit smoking at this precise moment in time.
Bar and garden layout..nice, busy Friday evening.
Atmosphere - bar (particularly Josh ) staff, garden. It was a very good place to feel at home.
Very noisy on Saturday night - many inconsiderate guests still shouting in the passages in the small hours
Superior room was very good, reservations located us in a quiet room as requested, they were helpful and friendly. Buffet Breakfast good quality.
Room ok, but 4* rating puzzles me, 3 at best. Breakfast was very nice.
All staff we came across were just there for the money. Ie. no one had any real passion about there job, no smiling faces or happy atmosphere anywhere. At £108 for the night and another £53 on top for a mediocre dinner I felt the value for money was very poor.
Opposite common, near to motorways, Gerrards Cross. Very nice comfy beds and great breakfast. A very good, independent family hotel. Good room facilities.
Location, Food in dinning room We enjoyed our stay with you
Air conditioning in the dinning room too cold could not be adjusted properly Nothing other
Got a garden room away from the wedding disco! Bar open late. Nice conservatory/bar area and great outside patio. Appreciated tea/coffee making facility in bedroom.Modern bathroom
Main entrance and downstairs looked shabby and carpet worn. Didn't give impression of 4 star hotel in main lobby and main areas.
Everything. Staff where very efficient, polite and go out of their way to make sure our stay was a memeroable, which it was. Only stayed the one night (unfortunately) as we used it as a stop over between theme parks. I would highly recommend it to anyone. Well impressed.
Only one problem arose. We were a part of four adults and one child aged five. We ordered a bar meal in the evening, but unfortunately the child's menu was limited for children especially when you've got a fussy eater of five. But with the bar managers help did he did offer something that was not on the menu. Happy faces all around. Thanks to the chap (sorry didn't catch his name)who resolved this. Thank you very much to him, and all the staff.
Location, room / bed, breakfast
