Paul,
Merriott
Dating back to 1688, The Bull is an upgraded historic hotel overlooking the village common. It is 2 miles from highway M40 and one mile from Gerrards Cross Train Station. The Bull offers a warm welcome in modernized traditional surroundings. There are plenty of historic tales of highwaymen and famous stagecoaches. Beeches restaurant is open every day, and 24-hour room service is available. Highways M1 and M25 are easily accessible. Legoland, Windsor Castle, Blenheim Palace and Hampton Court are among the area’s attractions. The Bull Hotel is also convenient for Woburn Abbey & Safari Park, and racing at Ascot, Sandown, Kempton Park and Newbury. Hotel Rooms: 123

Perfect location for visiting our friends. Large room. Equal in price to Holiday Inn/Travelodge but significantly better experience.

My room was 147, on been given directions to it i found the signs for directions incorrect and had to return to reception for help. The bar staff were preoccupied and not very attentive, one girl was playing a game and had to be hailed away from her device. the TV in my room was not allowing access to the basic channels in the morning, loads of keypads etc but basic Telly would do! The breakfast being served at 0630 was a factor for my booking as i needed to leave at 7am, on arriving in restaurant i was told their was a delay due to chief being late into work, not good enough.

Very friendly and efficient staff. Quite good food with adequate breakfast. Good parking facilities. Well situated for convenient access to gx, London, Beaconsfield etc. Noisy at night even thoughwe asked to be in a quiet rrom. No noise from the functions going on at night, but guests/kitchen staff outside below our window and the disco people throwing their eqipment into their van at 1.30 am were very irritating and disturbed us both.

Room was comfortable and quiet. Considering so many events were taking place we had a peaceful sleep. I was not happy when it came to booking dinner for our stay, There was no communication and we were squeezed in and asked to eat quickly.

Lovely gardens and public rooms bedrooms could do with refurbishment. we did have to up-grade to a better room for our second night, due to traffic and other noise.

I chose the location as it was close to an appointment I had on Saturday. The evening I stayed there was a function on til the early hours...and the very loud music kept me awake

The hotel was clean, well decorated and in good repair. The adverts stated that all superior rooms had been updated to modern standards. This was also shown in pictures. The room we stayed in was neither updated or modern which was a bit of a dissapointment.

Clean & comfortable with helpful staff. The fact that after the restaurant closes the only food available on the room service menu is thai green curry! The rooms can be stuffy and heating can't be controlled. Have stayed there 3 times now and had to be moved once because the heat was so overpowering it triggered my asthma.

It was clean and well presented, staff were helpful and breakfast was very good. The hotel did not have our booking when we arrived, it took the best part of half an hour before we gave up and said we would email through our booking form from our dinner party ? We did so and were told the booking had been made under a different name of Caroline Clarke ?! It was somewhat irritating as we were late for dinner !

Please read below. Sent today before your email! To the Manager The Bull Gerrards Cross 23rd January 2012 Dear Sir Just quick note to say how impressed we were with The Bull during our recent overnight stay. All the staff from Reception, Bar, breakfast room through to service personnel were extremely friendly and helpful. The logistics, cleanliness and in our case, the size of the room was excellent. The value for money for our on-line booking was second to none and although unlikely to be in the Gerrards Cross area again, if this is the usual standard of Sarova Hotels we will be looking out for them again. If you wish to forward this to your head office, then please do so. Sincerely Raymond & Vivien Potter

Having travelled extensively and stayed in various standards of hotel all over the world,I find the hotel policy of not switching the central heating on in rooms until 17.30 hrs not in the least acceptable in a hotel of this calibre. After attending a funeral, we returned to our room to rest but found it too uncomfortable, even though we were offered a fan heater by reception, this is not acceptable.
