Stansted Skyline Hotel  

Hotel was good, room excellent.

There was nothing to like about this hotel - I would not recommend it.

I stayed for three nights. The room had clearly not been properly cleaned before my stay - the previous occupant had been celebrating their 50th birthday and left the "50" confetti everywhere as evidence. The room wasn't serviced on my first day there either. The trouser press didn't work. The lights were very poor and one was actually broken causing it to be hot enough to burn and was dangerous in my opinion. There was no plug in the basin making shaving more difficult than it needed to be. The noises from the plant room next door were constant 24 hours and made sleeping almost impossible. Complaints were met with a sympathetic smile but no constructive solutions. Add to this that the arranged airport shuttle left early and caused me to be 45 minutes late at the airport and you will see why I would never stay here again nor recommend it to anyone.

TVs in rooms not working, also not really in Great Dunmow but Barnston so missed stop on bus and had quite a long walk uphill especially with adequate pavements when topwing a suitcase.

Good value for money, clean, pleasant staff and handy for my needs.

Having read some of the negative comments I can only assume they were racially motivated!

Firstly, our room was not the standard of cleanliness I would have expected, the blinds, curtains and carpets were a mess. The TV was tiny and placed in the top corner of the bedroom - pretty useless really. However, this did not stop our neighbouring borders from having the same blasting throughout the night. The breakfast was not value for money, we made our own toast and had to boil our own kettle - not something I mind however, I do mind being charged £6.50 for the priviledge! On going down to breakfast there was a dirty plate from the night before on the next table (obviously from the indian restaurant or a member of staff), there were glasses and bottles all over the tables in the small bar and the general state of the place was very sub-standard. On leaving we passed a room which had been left open, obviously a storage/cleaning cupboard, OMG! it was disgusting, full of random rubbish, filthy cloths filling the sink and generally horrible. We won't be staying there again and shall certainly not recommend this hotel to anyone.

It was of a general cleanliness

The hotel was located within a restuarant an indian restuarant and not well sign posted, the bedrooms are noisy as all you can here is cars and lorries and the road outside

Basic but comfortable -- value for money !

Directions from the A120 should be on the web page. It is only 5 minutes off the A120 when you know or 30 minutes around country lanes if you don't know which junction to leave.

Pick up and drop service was very good and I like it because it was important for me to get the flight.Rest hotel was ok for 29 pounds I dont expect 5 star service.

There was no one at the reception when I reached and left the hotel in the morning and I had to ring the driver myself hotel didnt arrange it but he came soon which was good.There was no soap or towel in the room I think these are basic requirements of any room.

Great value for money room clean and comfortable the food in the resturant was exellent and the staff helpful and friendly.

Staff were very friendly - and location was perfect for this particular trip !!! price was also fantastic
