We had nothing to complain about, staff were attentive and well mannered, the room was cosy, clean and we had a good nights sleep

My husband and I were staying there for a business conference, we really enjoyed our stay, rooms were comfortable and clean, breakfast was plentiful and beautiful and staff were very nice and helpful. We would love to stay again.

The fact that when I made the online booking they phoned me to say there was something wrong with my card so I gave them the numbers again and they confirmed the booking and said that it had went through successfully. When we checked in she asked me for my payment, to which I replied I had already payed, but they told me they only take payments on arrival, so I don't understand why I had the hassle of the cards over the phone.

Staff could not help more and price was right. Secure cycle storage.

Excellent room, first class gym and spa facilities. Breakfast was just the perfect start to the day.

Fantastic value for money. The breakfast was plentiful and delicious. Partner loved the leisure facilities. Room was clean and comfortable.

View from window was awful. Water pressure was very very poor, so took too long to fill a bath and the shower was not enjoyable.

All staff were excellent and helpful. The barman (from Kenya) was polite and helpful. Top marks to him.

Food was average. Whole place could do with refurbishment. But it was a friendly place and we'd go back.

The gym and spa

The poor decor. The hard uncomfortable bed. The paper thin walls which meant every noise from the lengthy intimate session happening next door meant no sleep for us! I just didn't like this hotel and would not recommend it!

Breakfast was of a good strandard. Well presented and a good variety of food. Good standard of cleanliness in the rooms.

We were most disappointed with the dinner in the hotel on the Sunday night. Down stairs to a pub grub type setting where you walk past part of the cooking area. We were expecting a dining room setting.

The hotel was very central with good access.

The bathroom was very cold

Very friendly and helpful reception staff. Comfortable bed. Big, clean bathroom and very fresh towels. Very easy to find.

Ladies changing room for pool/spa needs a bit of TLC!

All the staff were excellent, and the hotel is in a great location for accessing the surrounding area. By staying here you are supporting a family run business. Fitness suite and pool useful but don't expect too much.

Limited menu in the small restaurant (only one open when we stayed), two nights eating there was enough. Room was good but not up to the standard of more modern hotels.

Staff & room were great.

Cold unwelcoming bar at 6.15pm - no staff, atmosphere or people. The resturant & menu looked good but no incentive to wait in lounge for an hour.

Comfy bed, Warm room, Good Breakfast and friendly helpful staff.

Noisy room (23). Poor TV reception on a Small TV. Car park to reception is hike.

No cold running water, no bottled water available, therefore couldn't clean teeth, have a drink if water or make a cup of tea. Hairdrier didn't work. No bath, shower only. Poor access from car park up steep steps from rear and also main entrance.

paid for superior room was given standard room only got difference back after we asked. should have been told when we booked in that there was no superior rooms available

Central Location, handy for the town. Pretty peaceful. Excellent breakfast.

T.V. Remote did not work in Room 30, meant you had to manually operate manually.
