Felt welcome. Beds comfy showers good . Car parking good . Breakfast was lovely
Being given cold toast for breakfast . For two days we asked for hot toast and still got cold . Is this a standard thing .
spacious rooms. Nice breakfast - cooked food served rather than a 'free for all'
the evening waiter - of sure of his name - a little snooty. The windsor evening menu was very lack-lustre. We ate in the bar but had to eat on our knees!
Entertainment was too loud when trying to sleep
all the staff were very helpful and courteous
The beds were too small and the room was draughty.
Pet freindly bar area BUT out on a limb in corridoor - no tv - no people - we went back to room
Staff were great especially maitre d. Had a room upgrade. Very spacious. Dinner as good with a carvery. Breakfast was great. Would definitely recommend it.
Friendly staff excellent food and service cannot fault hotel would stay again
Nothing to dislike
very helpful staff in this large hotel...has great reception area to meet up with people and do your computer work [Wi-Fi in this area only]..good deal for business people..
Large spacious hotel with plenty of surfaced car parking. Welcoming staff. Hot plates at breakfast.
Room a little dated. Bathroom extractor fan not working. Tinned fruit at breakfast.
Great staff , nice and warm, good breakfast.
Looking a bit jaded but still a nice hotel.
The hotel was clean, the staff were all brilliant being very friendly and very smart.
Wifi only available down stairs
Location, room size, facilities
Price - a tad expensive but being a special occasion we paid it
Close to Harrogate. Five minute walk and your at the wonderful Turkish baths. Lovely hotel with period features. Will be staying here again on my next visit to Harrogate clean room had a nice view as requested. Very good value for the price. Nice breakfast in a lovely period room
Think some people would consider the hotel room dated, but we thought it wa very nice and clean. Shower was a little hard to switch on but when it got started it wad fine would stay here again.
The hotel is very attractive and was clearly once a luxurious, high-class establishment. It was very clean and there was plenty of off-street parking. Breakfast was good and served until 9.30 - a nice touch if you like a holiday lie-in.
No Wi-Fi in the room. You had to go down to the foyer to use a laptop. It's a long walk to the centre of Harrogate if you're in your 60s - and coming back, it's uphill.
Wifi not available in bedrooms
everything about it was amazing, we couldn't fault it. Definitely stay again.
There is one thing that the three of us didn't like and that was the bedding! The bottom sheets didn't fit the bed properly, so maybe fitted sheets and duvets.
comfortable, clean room. no traffic noise, good nights sleep ..good breakfast.
very disappointing evening meal. roast beef. vegetables were cold and had to be returned.no gravy and when we asked for some we were given a small amount that was also cold.poor value
This beautiful hotel is oozing with character. This year it celebrates 125 years of service to visitors and it was very interesting to see the old photos displayed in reception. Staff were all lovely, very smart and our room was very clean and comfortable. Its a huge hotel with many period features and I look forward to returning The town centre is a 10 min stroll, so its a great location too.
The price of this hotel was excellent, allowed to check in early, lovely bar, comfy beds, lovely bathroom, great shower and fabulous breakfast.
No WiFi in the room and only available in certain areas downstairs. A bit frustrating with a teenager in tow and even downstairs it was very hit and miss.
The hotel was in an excellent position both for the centre of town and the International Centre. Parking was great, plenty of spots. Breakfast fantastic, overall great value for money, we would stop here again.
TV was a bit dated and fuzzy and we couldn't get Wi-Fi.
I loved the 'oldy worldy' feel of the hotel.
The only small complaint is that our rooms were quite cold even though the radiators were turned up full. It was very windy the night we stayed and I don't think the lead windows helped.
Good location most of the staff were very friendly and helpful Rooms very clean
Room very musty smelling ladybirds in room in January!!! Decor of room and dining area very dated and in need of decorating bathrooms very worn and miss matched
