Location, friendly staff, nice room, good food.
Parking on the street.
Everything as expected, warm comfortable room, not a fault with the hotel but phone service very poor. Good food at dinner and breakfast.
Bathroom lighting not bright enough.
We returned to the Castle Inn on our 25th Wedding Anniversary, having held our reception there. We had a lovely reception, delicious cream tea followed by an excellent dinner. The staff were very friendly and helpful and it was good to be back in Castle Combe!
Plumbing noises during the night but they didn't spoil our time there.
I loved my stay here. From the minute I stepped through the door it was perfect. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful.. Everything had been thought of, the bed and bedding was without doubt the best. I will be back whether its on a business trip or at a weekend.
Being a Londoner, I was looking for a quiet and peaceful weekend away. And The Castle Inn Hotel perfectly fit the bill. I would definitely be visiting again. Possibly during warmer times.
The attic room with gorgeous beams. The coffee was fantastic.
The bed was not good, very dippy in the middle.
Atmosphere Main bed was excellent Staff were attentive Breakfast was excellent
3rd bed paid for was totally inadequate for 12 year old. At £30 extra per night it was not good value. Room was cold as was the bathroom. Staff did rectify. Lighting was poor as 3 bulbs were out. Food was good although debatable as to whether it was good value.
Beautiful Location, Breakfast excellent with good choice.
Bathroom floor dirty and hair behind door, cold tap in bathroom basin loose and difficult to turn on.
My room was a six hundred year old attic room with huge double bed. It was safe, comfortable and beautiful. All facilities worked - plenty of tea and coffee with biscuits, a super hot shower and bath and large mirror on the wall.
Beautiful location. Very comfortable hotel with lots of character. Good food and pleasant, helpful staff
Food really good too
We know this hotel very well, as returning guests we Always find it special and Hakan, the manager, is a very nice person
The quality of the restaurant and wine list may be improved.
I love love loved the location of the hotel. It was in a perfect spot in the town and very convenient. The food was amazing and the staff was kind and helpful. On Sunday morning I could not get cell service on my phone to call a taxi so one of the staff offered to call for me and it was right on time. Overall it was an incredible stay and I highly recommend it for someone looking to get away for a night or two by themselves.
Food Friendliness Room Location Bar
Parking limited unless you use the Manor parking Small screen TV WiFi ok, but not fast
Loved the scenery. Dinner was excellent. Good waiter staff.
They were training a new maid so the room was not cleaned up to standard. All in all however an excellent stay.
Reflects old English charm. The staff was wonderful and did everything to make us comfortable
Hotel rooms are very small.
We liked the beautiful picturesque setting and the fact that it was a 14 century building with lots of character, clean bright and quirky stuff in our room made it really special. Staff were great, dinner was good breakfast was lovely.
No on site parking as told. Check in time was really late, not too fond of that as we had to hang around in Bath till later, not good after a 4 hour drive..
Waking up in the morning looking out the window and seeing the view of the village empty and unchanged in YEARS... Sitting outside all day with drinks and good food watching the world go by... Walking round the pretty village....... The food in The Castle Inn was just lovely and so were the staff.... Would like to go back tomorrow !! ...WILL be going back one day.
Creaking floorboards!! Was worried we would wake fellow guests, But I guess that's part of the charm, it is a VERY old building.
Hotel Rooms Food Location
Staff poor wifi terrible
the setting was perfect , quiet and the pub had real charm > food was excellent
parking canl be a real issue , especially at peak times . This is a picture postcard village and can be chocked with tourists . Best Speak with the team at the castle inn , limited space around the town , but they advise well
Location great with an excellent restaurant and choice of local ales
Our room was above the kitchen ventilation and the extractor fans were on from 5pm to 10pm approx in the evening and started up again at 7 am and the noise fr
The location and the staff
WiFi not the best and made working from the Hotel a tad difficult ... but then again I chilled a bit more.
