The Castle Inn Hotel  

Charming location. Very quiet. Friendly reception. Dinner was good.

The wait staff was trying hard but lacked sophistication. Breakfast choices very limited. Coffee was awful! Decor was "restful" but not charming-everything was the same color. No one to help with luggage. No shelves or table in the bathroom for our travel kits.

We loved the Castle Hotel! It is located in the heart of a tiny ancient village of honey-colored stone houses.The staff was so warm and welcoming- willing to do anything to make our stay comfortable. The pub food was outstanding and the breakfast bar was ample. We spent one evening reading in a quiet nook on the first floor of the hotel and were served tea and dessert. What a relaxing spot. The villagers were also very humble and friendly, taking time out of their days to talk to us and share local history. Castle Combe and the Castle Hotel are defintiely worth a visit.

Parking could prove to be a bit of a challenge, but again, the staff helped us to find a safe/convenient spot.

The location was idyllic and the Inn fitted in perfectly with the surrounds. Staff were very friendly and attentive. The dinner menu was extensive and world class.

The cooked breakfast did not reflect the standard of the dinner.

Staff were consistently excellent

Sunday Lunch - de-minimus portions on the salmon starter. Yorkshires with the roast were hard , dry and 3 hours over-cooked. When pointed out to management they were most apologetic - future travellers will fair better I hope.

The Inn was in the heart of Castle Comb where a number of movies has been made. The bar had a great selection and the food was great. The staff made sure that we were happy. The building is beautiful 1200's

I moved by The castle inn. There are very beautiful spots. Breakfast is very very nice. The restaurant that in castle inn is very good!

Picturesque village with a couple of nice pubs doing pub grub and the Manor house if you want gourmet food and wine albeit at a cost.

Unfortunately this small village is a victim of it own success as coaches of tourists are bused in from 9 am onward's taking photos of pillar and phone boxes.

Beautiful location and really peaceful. Step back into the 15th century and yet keep all your mod-cons. Great food.

Parking only available in the grounds of the Manor House Hotel next door at £5 per 24hrs.

loved everything about the hotel clean,good food,hotel staff are friendly, Excellent location.we may go back in the summer.

The town and the hotel were a like a dream ~ we were thoroughly carried back in time. "Charming" doesn't begin to describe it all! Recent renovations clearly preserved the best old aspects of the property, while offering guests the upgrades and conveniences we have come to expect in this day and age. The food was delicious (especially the traditional English breakfast, which I will never forget!), and the hotel offered tremendous flexibility as to where you may enjoy your meals (outdoor "patio" right in the center of the village or the garden in the back, or two indoor areas). The staff was incredibly accommodating. We may never have an opportunity to return, but we will never forget our magical stay!

Two things kept me from giving all "excellent" ratings: (1) the hotel seemed understaffed about half the time we were there, so the poor individuals (who were all lovely in spite of their challenges) were too obviously being pulled in many directions, and (2) we came during an unusual hot/sunny spell, thus our room was excessively hot and uncomfortable... Besides that, we loved everything!

The Inn is located at the centre of a lovely village and convienient for the M4 for those wishing to break a journey.

Although we were able to park fairly near to the hotel the lack of guaranteed parking.

I returned to the Castle Inn after not staying there for 3 years . It was better than ever as was the village!

Great B&B in a very romantic setting. Rooms a lovely and clean and beautifully furnished. Excellent customer service and friendly staff. Would definitely recommend.

Country setting, great location for exploring the Cotswolds. Among the most charming and historic villages in the UK. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Our room was clean and comfortable with lots of old time character yet modern ameneties. Pub food was was very good and price is reasonable. Limited car parking which is expected in this lovely and quaint village. Wi Fi connection was good, even worked in our room.

Halls and stairs were a bit difficult to navigate with luggage but I expect this in a 400 year old inn.
