Chaise Guest House  

The Chaise Guest House was the perfect place for me to stay. I enjoyed the location as I had a wonderful view of the sea and Sunderland Pier. I was able to travel to the city centre easily and also took in the local area where I spent a great deal of time as a child. I was able to fit in business and pleasure. The room I had was first class and of a very high quality The facillities were excellent and I had no problem in getting two good night's sleep. The staff were brilliant and very friendly and accommodating. I would not hesitate in staying there in the future when I in Sunderland on business and for pleasure. Thank you very much.

There was nothing that I didn't like. My stay was perfect.

The chaise was ideally situated for a trip to the city. A cheap taxi ride to the city and close to amenaties

Only thing could complain about was the parking

My room was clean and comfortable and had the most beautiful view of the sea front. The staff were very friendly and helpful.

Superb stay at the Chaise Hotel, everything about the chaise was fantastic, even before we arrived getting a phone call asking what time we were arriving. John was very friendly meeting us and available 24/7. The facilities with in this small friendly guest house were much better than expected and the freshly made breakfast was brilliant. Very close to Sunderland, Newcastle and Gateshead a good base on the sea front to all these attractions. Very highly recommended great value for money.

This is an absolutely fantastic b & b, probably rate it as the best I have stayed at. Excellent hospitality, spotlessly clean and very friendly owners and staff who can not do enough for you.

Good & friendly hosts

Excellent stay, very welcoming and polite. Owner, although busy, took the time to ask me how I was etc. Had a sea view and and super breakfast. rustic and quaint. Made a change that week from all the faceless corporate hotels I stayed in.

I hate to moan about anything in this hotel but the bed was horrible-far too soft,felt like sleeping on a balloon.Luckily I had a lot of ale so did sleep but woke early with bad back

Excellent welcome, very large bedroom with ensuite, all clean and cared for. Staff friendly, nice family feel. Breakfast good choices and excellent. Would definately recommend this. Near to town for shops if required, front bedrooms had good sea views.

This is much more then just a fantastic guest house. It is like a friend house with outstanding hospitality. Nice location with sea views. John, the owner was very helpful and even very early Saturday breakfast was no problem - try it with ***** hotel. Very, very nice people. The room was clean, tidy and comfortable, and I felt at home straight away. Soon I will stay there again.
