Situated at the foot of the Great Orme Country Park, near the Victorian tram station, this family-run hotel is ideally positioned within a 2 minute walk of the beach, restaurants and shops. The Chelsea is a unique building with an interesting history. Formerly used as a Masonic lodge, original murals dating back over 150 years can still be seen in the dining room. The Chelsea also has the advantage of being one of few detached hotels in Llandudno and has beautiful grounds, creating a unique atmosphere. A popular area for hikers, cyclists and climbers, the hotel is conveniently situated within the seaside resort of Llandudno, near the Great Orme; ideal for you to enjoy North Wales’ beautiful coastline and countryside. A warm welcome. Quick check in. Our room was large, exceptionally clean and quiet. A bit chilly, but that didn't take from the pleasure of our stay. Very good location, 5 mins from the shops, the beach and only 2 mins from the ancient tram ride to the top of the Great Orme. Very good breakfast. Parking, very difficult.

The Chelsea had an excellent location, within easy walking access to the promenade or the town. If you like you can even bring your dog to stay! Landlady was extremely friendly and helpful and you could guarantee your breakfast delivered with a smile. The rooms vary in size and outlook, so if you want a view or a four poster you need to book the right room. In general parking in Llandudno is at a premium especially on a busy weekend, so you may need to drive around a bit to find your space at certain times.

Great value for money and Jean the lovely landlady looked after us so well! Breakfast was deliciously cooked with quality bacon and sausages (from the local butcher not the supermarket!) The room was clean, bright, and very comfortable (the bed was a delight to sleep on! Cheap matresses are a pet hate of mine) On Easter Sunday there were chocolate bunnies and eggs hidden under the cups on our breakfast table which I thought was a lovely touch. The hotel was in the best part of town and even though we had a room at the front it was very quiet. The landlady is very exacting in her standards and this was reflected by the quality of the guests who were resident there with us. We are definately going back as we had such a lovely stay and considering the price and location we wouldn`t go past the welcome at The Chelsea. There are steep narrow steps up to the front door which are a part of the charm of the building which is very quaint. They weren`t a problem for us and we enjoyed the elevated view of the bay and street from the little seating area at the top of them, however anyone with mobility problems or heavy, bulky luggage may find them difficult.

The Chelsea is a warm, comfortable, clean b&b with a lovely landlady, Jean. I have stayed there twice now and will no doubt stay there again. Scrumptious cooked breakfast in a spacious dining room. Clean room, comfortable bed, warm shower, ideal for sightseeing in Llandudno...what more do you need in a b&b?! I like everything about the Chelsea, but if you have mobility problems, this might not be the place for you as there is a flight of steps up to the front door and internal stairs to the rooms on the first and second floors.

Had a very pleasant stay at the Chelsea, We had 2 rooms, one for us and one for my daughter and boyfriend, both rooms fine for our overnight stay. Obviously not 5 Star at this price, but welcoming, clean and comfortable with a good cooked breakfast included. No complaints from us and will more than likely stay again.

Jean, the owner, was very nice. Rooms were ok - price was reasonable. Beds were lumpy - only two towels and toiletries were slim to none.
