Friendly easy going atmosphere, the room, the staff and the lovely breakfast.
The small lift, other than this spot on.
The staff were very friendly and helpful.
Standard room Very small at back of hotel Waste water pipes leaking onto flat roof just outside window!
As far as the Executive double is concerned, Very pleasant! Good comfortable bed, decent shower, plenty of room and a very nice view
Hall ways very narrow Car parking can be awkward
On booking in the staff at reception welcomed you with a friendly smile, made you feel welcomed. Bedroom was very clean. Decor pleasing on the eye. Overall staff very friendly and attentive.
The downside of our stay was the noise of the pigeons which nested outside the bedroom window at night. Otherwise everything else was okay.
breakfast was decent
very small room loose tiles in tiny bathroom shower couldnt be turned on full as it flooded floor cables for television just dangling over dressing table to reach sockets corridors very narrow so any noises from neighbouring rooms can be heard quite clearly
Good food and service very helpfull staff. Made it an enjoyable stay for us
Lack of view in room
We enjoyed the excellent service from the hotel staff and the food was fabulous. Also the location was perfect.
We liked everything about our stay there was nothing to dislike about anything it was an excellent stay many thanks.
Good Breakfast. Excellent Location Friendly helpful staff.
Bed was a bit small if you are big. Lift is small and only carries 3 people so becomes busy in the morning with luggage.
Nice staff, relaxed atmosphere
Hot little room at side with no internet access. Labyrinth corridors back to public rooms full of bus tour people reading the Daily Mail.
location was brilliant, and some of the staff were very pleasant,
the size of the bed in first room 312 they say that it is a double its the smallest double we had ever tried to sleep in and room very small, but the worst thing was the noise from industrial extractor fans all night long we had no sleep. thankfully we were able to move to another room which was much nicer.
Location and breakfast
Rooms at the back of the hotel suffer from noise from the street at the rear late at night
The staff and view
crisp sheets plenty of pillows and fluffy duvet ironing board and iron in room plenty of towels options hot chocolate and biscuits on hospitality tray breakfast
We loved the location, right on the prom and not far from the boat terminal. The room was faultless and the beds were really comfy. The breakfast was self service english breakfast and you could go up and and have whatever you wanted. We would definitely stay here again.
The reception did not have much advice about the island and the information that we were given turned out to be wrong.
The staff were outstanding, meals where very enjoyable.great location.
Our bed was not zipped up therefore bed started to separate. Noise from guest above. Shower leaked into the lobby. A used tissue left in wardrobe from previous guest.
Location excellent. Staff courteous and friendly Room well furnished
Shower was poor - difficult to get heat and good flow. Evening meal unispiring
1. Room service. 2. Breakfast buffet.
1. Lack of wi fi outside of public areas. 2. Evening meal options in the restaurant.
staff -pleasant, nothing was any trouble. evening entertainment. good bar and location. We'd go again but would specify a better room.
room 301 - at the back of the hotel, v small, too hot, a view of a brick wall. Noisy seagulls (not the hotel's fault).
good location, staff good and breakfast choice good we enjoyed our stay
bed mattress dated and too soft we tended to roll into the middle could do with firm mattress, rooms very warm
Location was the only good thing about this place.
5* prices for a 3* Hotel
Over priced - Expected better facilities for £155/ night. Breakfast was rubbish - poor quality food served. Wifi only available in the reception area. Beds are uncomfortable. Windows don't shut properly, I could hear wind whistling through all night! The whole hotel is looking tired and run down, it needs modernising and decoration. I've stayed in a lot better places for £25/night. The chesterhouse is a complete rip-off.
Staff were excellent. Friendly helpful made stay a very homely pleasure Food was best of all establishments I stayed in!(even chefs were funny, personable)!
At 6'2" height bed could have been 4" longer. Lol!
Beds were uncomfortable and small, the bar near us on 2 nights was very noisy as we're the pensioners leaving at 6am one morning .
Good atmosphere and clean cozy room with a great view
Loved the location
The local staff were lovely pity I could nt say the same about the rest of them not a smile or a welcome, breakfast should be still hot even a half an hour before it finishes and there was hot water coming from the cold tap in our bedroom Don t this.k I would stay there again and its a pity as I visit at least 4 times a year
