The breakfast was excellent. The hotel is very well located on the seafront, with the High Street shops very close. The tv in the room was useless & the veiw from our bedroom window was a dirty backally full of pigeons. Also the standard double bed was very small.

Our room at the Chesterhouse had a great view of the bay at Douglas. With a couch in the bay window, we could watch the Irish Sea as the tide came in and went out. The location, close to the ferry terminal, was also a plus. The staff were super-friendly and helpful, the food was excellent, the hotel was clean and comfortable, and the price was excellent. The only drawback was the size of the bathroom. Sitting on the side of the tub to brush one's teeth was not comfortable, but overall the hotel was a definite a+.

Very comfortble room. Great location. Great breakfast. Lovely stay. The lounge and the bar was a bit plain, lifeless and felt cold. The bar downstairs was not open which made the bar upstairs even more important. It was small and tucked away and was clearly undervalued by the hotel.

Ecellent value for money. Would stay again. The bathroom was very small in our room.. You had to do a limbo act under the sink to get to the toilet.. And the bed did'nt seem quite a full double..But a great place for a short stay

Convenient seafront location in central Douglas, clean and spacious room, good breakfast. Excellent value for money. Very narrow corridors - and the wall between room and corridor allows for voices to carry. Cramped elevator.

Positive polite helpful and friendly staff. Excellent central location. Expansive sea views over Douglas Bay. Clean and comfortable. Free WiFi. Talented and unexpectedly enjoyable free evening entertainment. Excellent value for money. Small portions at dinner. 2hr time slots for dinner and breakfast too short and/or end too early (8pm/9am)

The rooms were clean and spacious. Some staff were really good, some were ok, not any issue there. Excellent location. Their wi-fi is just terrible, do not depend on that if you are planning to.

The staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was a decent size and en-suite. Breakfast was excellent, did not need any more to eat until the afternoon. Location on the sea front, a bonus. All in all a first class service for a decent price. Will definately recommend to family and friends.

The Chesterhouse is ideally situated and is very central to everything. The staff were very friendly. The bus stop is just outside the door. The shops are just around the corner. We couldn't have picked a better location. The only negative thing about the hotel was the size of the bedroom and ensuite. It was very small. The wash hand basin and the toilet were too close together. The shower was excellent though. If I was to stay here again, I would make sure I got a bigger room with a sea view.

Closeness to the ferry and thats about all! We choise the Chesterhouse for our last night on the Isle of Mann because of it's closeness to the ferry. We would not return to the hotel for a couple of reasons; I booked a double room and we got a single, when I approached the staff about this they were bemused. In the morning we went to have a shower to find no hot water at all, not even in the taps. There was no tv remote. I wouldn't recommend the hotel for a long stay.

Close to ferry. Central location on promenade. Large en-suite room, large double-bed, comfortable furniture. Seaview and view of prom, from bay-windows. The feel of luxury. Friendly staff. A bit of breakfast and a pot of tea, even before 6 A.M. Room was too hot at night. Noisy ventilator in bathroom, stayed on all night. Noise from taxi-drivers parked during the night in front of the hotel.
