The breakfast was excellent. The hotel is very well located on the seafront, with the High Street shops very close. The tv in the room was useless & the veiw from our bedroom window was a dirty backally full of pigeons. Also the standard double bed was very small.

Closeness to the ferry and thats about all! We choise the Chesterhouse for our last night on the Isle of Mann because of it's closeness to the ferry. We would not return to the hotel for a couple of reasons; I booked a double room and we got a single, when I approached the staff about this they were bemused. In the morning we went to have a shower to find no hot water at all, not even in the taps. There was no tv remote. I wouldn't recommend the hotel for a long stay.

Close to ferry. Central location on promenade. Large en-suite room, large double-bed, comfortable furniture. Seaview and view of prom, from bay-windows. The feel of luxury. Friendly staff. A bit of breakfast and a pot of tea, even before 6 A.M. Room was too hot at night. Noisy ventilator in bathroom, stayed on all night. Noise from taxi-drivers parked during the night in front of the hotel.

Nothing The layout of the bedrooms passages corridors very poor. Food at Breakfast poor . Staff at breakfast slow. Reception staff could do with properly training.Over the last few years we have used this booking service on a number of occasions and most hotels have been very good. The only bad ones have beenwhere they take coach trips. This was such a hotel.

The Chesterhouse is ideally situated and is very central to everything. The staff were very friendly. The bus stop is just outside the door. The shops are just around the corner. We couldn't have picked a better location. The only negative thing about the hotel was the size of the bedroom and ensuite. It was very small. The wash hand basin and the toilet were too close together. The shower was excellent though. If I was to stay here again, I would make sure I got a bigger room with a sea view.

There were 3 beds in my room, but unfortunately not one of them had a comfy mattress. Also the window blind wasn't wide enough for the window and when I let it down it was also 6 inches short ! There was also a comfy chair there that had obviously come from the bar as it was covered in beer stains and smelt like it too.

It was centrally located for all that we wanted to do during our stay. The bathroom in room 301 was extremely cramped. The evening menu in the restaurant was rather uninspired. We checked each day, but normally went elsewhere in the town.

View of the sea! Shower was very poor. Low water pressure meant the water dribbled out of the shower.

The food at the hotel was lovely, both restaurant and room service. I was very pleasantly surprised. The bedrooms are in desperate need of refurbishing and the walls are very thin!

Close to beach front and town shopping. Hotel was comfortable, warm and provided good food. Although slightly cheaper the rear facing rooms had a poor outlook and suffered from cooking fumes from adjacent fast food store ventilation outlets.
