“I was very impressed with the bathroom. It was very luxurious and the array of toiletries was quite mind blowing-not that I spent my holiday in the bathroom !”

Good location and comfortable, staff helpfull and friendly including the pool attendent, the breakfast was very good. Not impressed with the tv had to get it seen too twice, the mirrors and windows in the room were not clean and the balcony needed to be swept and washed due to bird poo contamination. Dissapointed with the evening meal as we ordered the beef which arrived with a very small amount of vegetables so had to order extra at a cost of £2.50. As the cost of the meal was £18.95 we thought this was a bit much, we noticed nearly all the other diners had to do the same and order extra vegetables or chips. I would recommend this hotel but not the resturant.

Very satisfied for the money we paid. The staff were great, very helpful. The breakfast was fine but the best bit was the bed! Probably the most comfortable bed I've ever slept in, apart from mine of course. When booking the parking situation could be made a little clearer.

Large hotel but always attentive, efficient and friendly service. Food superb. Family friendly judging from the number of families staying on the bank holiday weekend. Room doors tended to be noisy even when you tried to close them quietly, but this was not unduly disturbing.

The spa & pool facilities; closeness to the beach; the gardens. The restaurant wasn't really appealing to a young family with kids. Parking was a bit tricky especially when a wedding reception is being hosted. It would be useful if the hotel clearly advertised where guests can park - including the additional 30 spaces on Wharncliffe Road - which I eventually found out about when I asked if 'there was any hidden parking' available to guests.

Not all the rooms are the same size. We traveled with another couple and we've been offered different size rooms at the same price. Both rooms were advertised as double and my friends received a "storage room" with a bed inside. Lucky we stayed only for a night.

Friendly staff, I was upgraded to double room. Dinner was nice with a great view to the sea. No other suitable restaurants nearby that I would consider going to, so we had to eat in the hotel. As I stayed only one night that was not a problem but longer stays might find it inconvenient.

This is our third stay this year at the Chine. As ever we find this a 3 star hotel with a 5 star service provided by all staff. One minor complaint was that the buffet, cooked breakfasts could be hotter

The staff and facilities were excellent, my only concern was the lack of parking especially the disabled bays (my wife is disabled) these were there but were taken by non disabled guests and appeared to be un monitured otherwise fantastis stay.

Impressive, decoration good swimming pool gardens children stuff Not what didn't like but may be suggestion to make things better - we are staying with you again for wedding in july evening menu started at 7 p.m. placed order at 6.30 p.m. took some time to come out after 7 p.m. - both cold starters (with young child) wanted to get meal quick so did not disturb other diners this was a bit dissappointing Breakfast - suggest bin that can collect cereal boxes etc as no where to dispose of them also small jugs of juice & milk staff had to keep refilling maybe worth getting larger milk urns seen at other hotels used - you may well do this at weekends as this was a tuesday

From the welcome we received when we checked in to the 'safe journey' comment when we left, our visit was excellent!! Our room was great, lovely view and well equipped. The use of the spa facilities was a great bonus. Excellent breakfast options, all freshly cooked and even though the restaurant was busy,we were not rushed. All the staff we spoke to were friendly. My only slightly negative comment would be about the parking facilities, however, this would not put us off visiting again :)

Seaviews from the restaurants & only 5 minutes walk to the beach. Nice pool & jacuzzi. The waiting staff in the Gallery Restaurant were not very friendly, didn't seem to know what they were doing and got our food order wrong twice. One day they served breakfast in the Gallery Restaurant instead of buffet style, again the waiting staff were just very uncordinated. The reception staff were very friendly & helpful though.

The views were great my room overlooked to sea, the staff were very pleasent, there was a lot of period features Which I did like, and I shall book again... I wasn't to impressed with the car park facilities I make the point that when I go to a hotel that I not only expect myself to be looked after but I also expect my car to be looked after as well and having to park several streets away from the hotel I was a bit annoyed about. Also the room was two small for me and although I booked a single room I shall book a larger room in future.
