All the members of staff who dealt with the breakfast service were the highlights of my day. They were all professional but had a way of making you feel comfortable, considering that I was a single female traveler staying at that establishment. In general all the staff were professional and courteous & therefore cannot be faulted.
The parking. I chose this hotel so that I had the convenience of parking my car on site. This was not always possible so I feel that the hotel should readdress this issue. Perhaps some of the bollards should be removed from the front of the hotel and they may generate more space for other cars to park on site.
Breakfast+ breakfast staff 10/10. Excelkent.
Have been twice .. Room overlooked back car park.. white van in front of window- not a great view. From 7am constant revving of van engines/ loud shouting- noise of vans manoeuvring
Nice chilled out atmosphere
Breakfast wasn't amazing just standard
second visit to this hotel food excellent
pillows a bit too firm for me
The hotel is very old and needs a proper renovation. radiators make lots of noise and it's difficult to sleep at night. Showers with curtains rather than screen , which are not hygienic
Very tiny room
Very friendly and helpful staff.
Great location and day staff were really friendly and helpful.
Old fashioned keys and having to leave them at the desk every time you leave. Had to wait 10 mins one night to get my key.
availability of car parking on-site
View of garden from restaurant windows was delightful, even in January, and the location in Broadheath very pleasing
Wifi access is EE, and access password is delivered by text to mobile phone. I am IPad user - don't carry mobile phone. Eventually got in to Wifi, but only an hour of access
Staff pleasant and helpful
Got lost in the corridors! But was only there one night
Location/access, upgraded from single to double room on check-in, free on-site parking at front and rear, free street-parking until 9am, open common at front, large rear garden with tables and chairs, selection of restaurants and shops very close, good buffet breakfast with other options on request, customer-use pc and printer, soft towels!
Nothing really but if I was going to be picky... Bed not as comfy as some but fine for me, bathroom on the smaller side in my room with a shorter bath, shower was good but curtain hung so it floated inwards and could do with instruction for choosing between overhead and hand-held shower option, no tissue dispenser, TV was common size (some hotels have larger ones), breakfast waitress could have explained all options - they are on the table menu, I just didn't read it beforehand!
Hotel very nice comfortable, very friendly staff
Parking is difficult, but not a major problem.
Good location, attentive staff, good breakfast. Room clean and in good order, comfy bed
Room too warm, thermostat on radiator seemed to be faulty, just one of life's minor irritations,
We always stay at the Clarendon. The staff are really friendly and the location is excellent - close to Central London, Greenwich and of course Blackheath Village.
The breakfast on the first day was not buffet form as there were not enough guest and the food was rather dried-out. Temperature everywhere too hot!
Room Size of bed. General tidyness and quality of room.
Bed was a bit hard.
conveniently located and excellent customer care and service
some beds need to be changed
I liked the fact that when we overslept and missed breakfast the reception staff arranged for continental breakfast to be sent to our room.
Triple bedded rooms available. A number of wines available by the glass. Cosy bar Room service menu
Beds very old and uncomfortable. Badly need replacing. Bedding didn't fit so came apart easily. Quilts were too large for the covers, so were stiff and uncomfortable. Lack of fridge in one of the rooms. Water heater broken one morning so half of the hotel went without hot water for many hours. Hotel offered guests to shower in another room at the other side of the hotel. Bathrooms adequate but very small.
Location (Blackheath/Greenwich) - Breakfast
Rooms need to be refurbished - not isolated from outside cold & noise - heating system is very noisy
just about all of it
A cold draught from the secodary double glazed window in the en-suite but not sufficient to complain about !
This was my 3rd stay at the Clarendon and I just can't fault it. I would definitely use again.
On a busy day it is very difficult to park and if you can find a spot on the road it must be vacated by 9am. OK for business users but not for leisure. Staff should indicate exactly where room is to save trotting up and down stairs!
