Location, staff (always really helpful), breakfast. Rooms. And not least, the cost. For a location on Blackheath and just a couple of minutes walk from Greenwich Park it can't be beaten.
Parking is a bit of a problem - only 40 spaces for 170 or so rooms. And it's pretty tight around the area, but the staff will do their level best to sort things out for you, wherever they can
Breakfast and location
Room was small and looked out over scaffolding. It was also fairly noisy in the evening as it was at the entrance to a corridor. But it was clean.
the new rooms very good

The girls were very nice good on the eyes
Fantastic location for Greenwich with bus stop right outside. Lovely view across common. Slightly dated but great value for money and friendly staff. Would definitely go back.. Great stay!
Stayed for one night staff very helpful our room was very clean and comfortable .The hotel is very close to the train station for easy access to London. We would definitely recommend this hotel .
Would stay again. Lovely ambience and slight old-worldlliness meant commensurate price. Small room though.
Noise from builders at 7.00a.m.
We enjoy the breakfast with specific English traditional dishes. Room was ok and it was silent the hole stay.
The bathroom had some issues. It was a bit too expensive and I expected it to be closer to the city center.
1) Close to the London transport network & Blackheath village. 2) Breakfast in the garden.
1) Fitted carpets in the room- dusty. 2) Bathroom very small and not very modern. Slippery floors. Shower not strong enough. 3) Very low wardrobe. Difficult o hang elegant clothes (wedding venue).
It's proximity 2 the village & Greenwich.
The lift not working...it was a long trek up the stairs !
View over Blackheath Nice big rooms Great breakfast buffet
The herd of wildebeest that seemed to be roaming the room above us overnight!
Location was good. The breakfast was really nice
The rooms were hot and there was no air con.
Great location on the Heath Good breakfast Attentive staff
A bit tired and in need of some TLC
Comfortable and quiet room. Firm bed with sufficient pillows. Good quality hot food at breakfast. Helpful & pleasant staff.
Very little hot water in the morning, No grab handle when using the shower in a fairly deep & slippery bath. Little choice of fruit/fruit salad at breakfast.
Even though they were very busy at breakfast, they still managed an excellent choice well presented and staff very attentive to all guests my haddock and poached eggs were well presented and cooked to perfection. I have stayed in 5 star hotels there breakfast and service could learn a lesson off The Clarendon!!
furniture a bit dated
The Hotel was very clean and the staff helpful. Breakfast was nice with a good variety to choose from. Room was good size with small but adequate en suite. Situated on Blackheath ideal for exploring Greenwich and the local area. Lots of eateries in the village. We really enjoyed our stay it was relaxing and we would recommend this hotel.
The location have a grand view of the heath, although I did enjoy the view from my bed room it was good to stroll along
The welcome from the reception staff
