Shabby carpet in bedroom, old headboard on bed.
Warm and clean. Quiet and comfortable. Very pleasant and helpful staff
prices in blackheath
Very nice room, good facilities.
Wifi system is not easy if you do not have an English or international phone. Staff were ok but pretty off hand I thought. Expensive hotel.
Relaxed atmosphere and friendly helpful staff. Value for money. We would use this hotel again.
location , parking on site , friendly helpful staff, great choice of breakfast
I had requested an early check-in. This was actioned without delay. All the staff were pleasant and helpful. We found the room very clean and just the right size. The hotel was fully booked at the time of our stay, this was only noticeable in the dining hall, but the staff coped with this with ease. Breakfast was excellent. Very comfortable night stay and we would stay again. Free parking.
Deco could do with updating and limited parking.
Friendly helpful staff , even although hotel was very busy
Decor in room bit dark
The cleaning staff were really nice and I loved the view from my room. Exceptional breakfast & had a great time in the bar on Friday night with my friend - drinks were cheap and bar staff were friendly.
The noise from having my room at the front of the hotel meant I didn't sleep at all on Saturday night. Busses & other traffic, people coming back from the club and the creaky floorboards from above and outside my room was very irritating at 2 in the morning!
Location great, 5 mins from train station and set in lovely village. Regular trains into charing cross only takes 15 mins. Good variety of breakfast foods. Lovely staff. Would stay there again
Nothing really to dislike, but some aspects of the hotel are a bit old. could be doing with some new carpets, wardrobes and headboards.
Very nice hotel and excellent staff especially the receptionists.
The Clarendon is a basic, functional hotel - a little faded but for one night it was fine. It was quiet at night, and the staff were cordial and helpful. The location is perfect for visiting Blackheath and Greenwich Park, and there is easy access into London from Blackheath station.
It needs updating, it is very tired looking and the rooms need redecorating and are not clean enough. The queue for breakfast on Sunday morning was so long that I decided not to wait - when the hotel is fully booked the breakfast room is far too small. The breakfast hours should also be extended by another hour to help accommodate the situation.
Comfortable room, clean and functional. Nice breakfast and a good nights sleep.
Staff in room at breakfast talking about how they hoped it would be a quiet evening so that they could go home early. My husband left his wallet behind and no one contacted us to let us know over 24 hours later. We were charged twice for some reason and when contacted to get an explanation & refund we had to email a bank statement as they didn't have a record of our payments! Communication within & between Front Of House and House-keeping isn't apparent as they don't seem to know what the other is doing. Refund made but no communication to say so & no apology. Poor customer service I'm afraid.
Light weight duvet - not too hot, not too cold
I'm guessing the mattress was relatively new and was rather on the firm side. Perhaps it will soften up in time. I have slept on an Hypnos mattress at another hotel - it was probably one of the best night's sleep I've ever had in my life!
a very nice venue that ticked all the box's. the staff where very patient when fellow visitor where demanding.
Location is not to my need.
Door constantly banging on the ground floor adjacent to rooms 15 aand 16 in the early hours of the morning.
Easy access to Blackheath, Greenwich and the Thames. Easy to travel into London either by train or river.Great breakfast and helpful staff and really good news we parked our car at the hotel at no charge. Also good that wifi access was free.
We stayed here recently as we had tickets for a show at the O2, the hotel is well situated for all attractions. We all found the hotel staff very friendly, and the overall the hotel was excellent value for money and the breakfast was good. We would stay here again when we visit the O2.
Great hotel reasonable price great breakfast, the staff were very helpful with directions and couldn't do enough for us. We will definitely stag again.
