Staff very help at breakfast
Car parking can get crowded
Natural light and spacious room
The radiator was a little noisy and the wardrobe door didn't shut properly but everything else was really good.
exceptional value, nice size comfortable rooms, friendly staff, great breakfast buffet
comfy hotel in London for under £100/night- what is there not to like?
Booked a single room, but was given a double, with a huge and very comfortable bed. Free wi-fi. Warm welcome. Good value for a London hotel
Parking very limited, otherwise it's roadside (and pay!). Cooked breakfast buffet lukewarm.
this hotel was such a pleasant surprise after so many bad experiences in London. Its a short walk from Blackheath station. The staff are really, really friendly and helpful. The room was lovely and I was upgraded free of charge. I would highly recommend it!
Rooms were of a good size & beds comfortable.
The bathroom was tiny.
The staff were really friendly and happy.
The facilities were dated, geared towards older people.
everything was there and especially helpful staff
Location to where we needed to be, access to the city and local transport - buses and trains. Nice room, helpful staff, tasty breakfast.
Only problem was room was far too warm. Had to sleep with the window wide open in February and the hotel is on a busy road so could have been a problem if we were light sleepers.
The friendlyness and helpfulness of the staff, it's a really pleasant place to stay.
Great place to stay, will definitely be back. staff were really kind, helpful and Emily, especially the older lady on breakfasts!
One small thing, there wasn't enough ketchup bottles to go round at breakfast. Chef got very grumpy at our daughter when she found a bottle and brought it to our table. Chill out and buy more bottles?!
The staff - went above and beyond to help us
As always, friendly, efficient staff, comfortable, spacious room and good breakfast. Location is perfect for us visiting our daughter in the area. We have stayed many times as it caters well to our needs.
Reported a leak under the wash hand basin in our bathroom.
Freindly and it's quietness
Although the decor was a bit tired, the Clarendon's quad family room was a good size, clean & comfortable and a good breakfast. The location was great - Blackheath is a very pleasant area with plenty of nice restaurants, small shops and a good pub in walking distance. Great value for money.
Warm, comfortable room. Needed to stay an extra night. Very accommodating. Lovely breakfast.
Small detail - jar of walnuts and apricots looked 'old' and unappetising at breakfast. Suspect nobody ever eats them... Also curtains and decor a bit tired and dated.
Comfortable Bed, good breakfast Walking distance to Blackheath station and Greenwich Park and all the amenities of Greenwich
The only thing I was disappointed about was the coffee at Breakfast. I like to drink decaff coffee and when this was requested I was given Instant Coffee. I'm sure you could do better than that and serve decaffeinated Ground Coffee
Friendly helpful staff
Bar area very clean and fresh looking. Staff very friendly.
Great location on edge of the Heath. Comfy beds, great staff. You can walk through Greenwich park to the Thames and get a boat to Central London. A fair walk but lovely if the sun is shining.
The room was great but the bathroom tiny. The heating system was very loud rattling on and off through the night so despite the comfy bed we didn't have a great night sleep. The restaurant staff were delightful and the manager offered us a discount on complaining about the noise. Transport into Central London tricky on Sunday with railway from blackheath not straightforward.
Fabulous stay, love room 114 with the view of the heath.
If you want 5 star, you are unlikely to find it here, what the Clarendon does is provides a good bed for you to sleep in. Some of the staff are better than others. The Liverpudlian lady in charge of the breakfast was really friendly along with Brenda and nothing was too much trouble for either of them.
The breakfast is average. Watery scrambled eggs and plastic sausages, but it's the norm for 3 star, 5 star may bring a complaint. The soft furnishings are stuck in 1968 despite being clean.
Close to Greenwich park, good breakfast and staff
Little bit outdated but better than we expected from pictures
Parking available day time.
Room location adjacent to rear car parking - noisy at night and very early morning.
Good food & nice staff
