Offering homely, comfortable rooms and varied cuisine, this totally non-smoking hotel is ideally situated, just yards from the seafront, shops, harbour and main stations. Freda and Steve strive to offer you a home away from home. Chef proprietor Steve uses only the freshest of ingredients and takes great pride in his cooking, so you can be sure of an interesting menu with an international flavour. Vegetarians are most welcome and special diets are catered for. The hotel has a well-stocked, attractive bar where you can relax or enjoy an evening drink. We have never felt more welcomed in a Hotel. Steve and Freda made us feel at home from the moment we arrived offering refreshments whilst we checked in. They went out of their way to accommodate special requests, promote attractions of the area, and do everything to make our stay as comfortable as possible. These were genuine people and you felt like friends in their home rather than just another guest. Our room was lovely and clean, well appointed and comfortable. We only had breakfast on our stay which was well cooked and presented and we would be happy to take up a half board option on our next stay. Steve and Freda do have excellent knowledge about restaurants in the area and their recommendations to us were spot on. They also have so much knowledge about the areas many many attractions. A well stocked honesty bar and lounge seating area adds to the home away from home ambience. We enjoyed taking with Steve and Freda and found their company delightful, we felt like we were leaving a second home and were very sad to leave. We can see why the Hotel has repeat business and we envisage being repeat clients for many years to come on both short and long breaks to Paignton. The hotels location is so close to everything and with such great local transport to surrounding attractions there is really no need to access your car again until your journey home. A fabulous find in a lovely part of the country!

Very friendly owners who made us feel instantly welcome. Cup of tea and biscuits on arrival and even an Easter egg on Sunday morning! Just a minutes walk from the seafront the location was excellent.
