Comfort and friendly staff
A little pricey
nice room comfortable bed good choice of dishes for breakfast.
no soap in the bathroom clump of black hair in the bed.breakfast was fine exept the egg was not cooked resulting in a slimy mess.
Location was good good selection at breakfast
Our room was really noisy; it was like someone was in our bedroom showering all night! We assume the bolier was right next to/above the room but it was incredibly loud though out the night. We didn't ask to be moved as we arrived around10:30pm and had settled the little one straight into bed but we definitely should have as we were a wake the majority of the night anyway!
Location ok, good staff, good breakfast, good parking and bar / restrant OK.
Rooms on the small side, not enough space to hang clothes
Closeness to Silverstone, Bed was amazing, most staff were exceptional, clean, food excellent.
Parking was difficult, some staff were a bit useless, cleaning toilets then serving in restaurant not good, food orders confused, 2 weddings and a conference whilst there, not a quiet country b&b
Rooms were lovely, staff worked hard to make your stay a good one.
Noise was horrendous a wedding the first night, a band the second night, followed by another wedding.
The location was good and had plenty of parking which is hard to find these days. The room was clean with plenty of hot water for showers etc. breakfast was excellent. Value for. Money
Having to wait for food and bar service
Staff were excellent from the moment we booked in. Nothing was too much trouble. Lovely room, central to the village.
They did have a problem with toast, either cold or missing.
The location of the hotel was perfect. Very pretty English feel. I arrived on a day when a wedding was n and my room was opposite the function. During the evening I was offered a room change due to noise pollution which I accepted, shame really as my original room was in the courtyard and was perfect :-)
Wifi a bit sketchy
Fun and helpfull staff
We loved the charm and modern day comforts situated in an original coaching house. Staff hardworking but friendly, great service at wedding at same venue.
Parking was a problem.
Friendly staff, and hotel was clean and characterful, nice well furnished bedroom and bar restaurant area, good breakfast
Wedding party had taken over the hotel with the usual disco into the late evening. Even though the hotel put me in a room furthest away, it was still noisy and I was woken next morning before 6am by the market setting up. If I were to stay again, I would check to see if there was a party booked.
Good value, excellent lunch and breakfast. Staff were all friendly especially the girl running the breakfast room. The first room we were given was on the ground floor of the back court yard directly opposite the wedding reception venue. They kindly changed our room to a very quiet one, but had that not been possible it would have been very noisy and unpleasant.
The sash window was banging all the time , so sleep was poor !!
Bed fab Very quiet Great location Staff great
Food good value but not wonderful
TRADITIONAL AND NICE ATMOSPHERE. . AND PARKING AT THE REAR OF HOTEL.TEA MAKING IN ROOM
UNINTERESTING COOKED BREAKFAST. SERVED COLD. VERY DISAPOINTING.
A hotel of great character - 15th century coaching inn. Very quirky rooms.
Dinner - we ordered fish and chips from the main menu. The fish had been cooked more than once with the batter the colour of rich mahogany. In fairness to the hotel they did not charge for the meal but the dish should never have left the kitchen in the first place.
A clean, fresh, comfortable room with all the basics. Breakfast was first class. A wide choice of juices, cereals, fruit, breads, eggs, or "Full-English" Full marks from me for a hotel that believes in service not self - service. I hate having to stand and make my own toast.
The shower was difficult to regulate to a constant comfortable temperature, but that did not spoil our day.
Although there was a wedding on the day, the staff couldn't have been more attentive.
It's an attractive hotel and comfortable.
Terrible service one of our meals never arrived.
The staff The value for money and quality of the accommodation and food
The staff were helpful and friendly. Room was very clean and comfortable. Great choice for breakfast.
I had a double room overlooking the high street which was very noisy during the night. The church bells rang every hour which also kept me awake.
Character of buidling and rooms. Tea/coffee-making facility. Comfy pillows. Friendly and helpful staff. Quality of the cooked breakfast.
Noisey through the night and early morning with the window open. Sadly, due to it being a hot night and no coolingsystem in the room, we had to keep the window open.
Everything, and particularly the very helpful manager.
