great spa set up by first class breakfast
The staff here are exceptional. The bedroom was spotless and very comfortable.
Breakfast was very busy. Good choice of buffet but being a buffet means the eggs are always rubbery and the food is, at best, lukewarm. Asked for a tomato juice never received it.
Loved the comfort and cleanliness of the hotel and location. Staff were great.
The fact that the cancellation policy couldn't be waived within 48 hours in view of sickness. Would have enjoyed my stay more if I had been well.
Just about everything !
Communal areas excellent very friendly staff lovely breakfast
Room cold no spare bedding in room my daughters room noisy with disco and I did speak on phone requesting quiet room as she has just had open heart surgery
Friendly staff and excellent service. Food was amazing and room was comfy
It was abit noisy, but a xmas party was going on so was to be expected.
Liked everything, meal in brasserie excellent, a la carte a good experience Excellent spa with jacuzzi and swimming pool Fantastic breakfast Excellent staff efficient and friendly
The second days weather
Politeness of staff Accommodation & leisure facilities. Restaurant for breakfast and dinner
Beautiful decor, highly efficient and attentive staff, lovely atmosphere throughout. Can't wait to return.
The bathroom was very small, good job we are not fat or pregnant,it might have been a problem.
really pleased we choose this hotel very comfortable and the staff were lovely and helpful. we dined in both resteraunts and the food was lovely in both. would stay again
from the booking in, the use of the facilities (spa), the friendliness of the staff, to the cleanliness of the hotel & comfort of the room, to the standard of the food
the bar was small and limited choice of beer
Hotel was very clean and staff were always polite. Hotel was close enough to walk into Bournemouth centre or to the beach! I would recommend this hotel to our friends and would stay here again if staying in Bournemouth.
Friendly staff, clean comfortable facilities. Great food. An all round pleasure
Second breakfast on a hot plate.
Not allowed to eat in warm cosy bar. Single room not big enough to swing a cat in. Bed too soft. Noisy banging doors. Woken at 6.10am by refuse truck collection. Cold plate for hot breakfast. When I complained to owner he wasn't interested. Contacted later in day by reception manager. Promise made that if I return I will be looked after. I will hopefully change my opinion after my next visit, hopefully in new year.
The rooms were quite small and very noisy at night times
I liked the pool
The main restaurant was closed and we waited quite a while for our dinner plus not much selection
The SPA is excellent
A bit busy for breakfast
Bar Breakfast Leisure facilities Thoughtful and friendly staff - good old fashioned service that is so rare nowadays
Difficult to say anything negative about this hotel
great food, lovely Spa. Bed very comfortable.
Very pleasantly surprised, our whole stay was perfect, form check in to check out. Staff all very friendly, and breakfast top notch, highly recommended.
Friendliness and helpfulness of staff
The menu choices. I also ended my visit with an upset stomach.
We liked everything about this hotel. The staff were friendly, professional and efficient, the room was lovely, clean and comfortable. Would recommend it...
The layout of the Hotel The "Old Fashioned" aspect of the place as opposed to modern Hotels. The lovely rooms with good bed, furniture and curtains. The great restaurant Staff anf lovely food. The closeness to the town centre yet it was set in a quiet location.
The surrounding buildings and Hotels some of which were a bit "rough".
Staff were very attentive, very helpful, nothing was too much trouble. I've stayed at the Connaught around 5 years ago, and the refurbishment is really stylish and tasteful inside and out. With a new garden, and seating area, I should think it would be lovely in the Summer. The Spa area was lovely to use, and we had some wonderful treatments. Close to the sea, and 5 minutes from the town, great location. Breakfast was good, and we ate in the Bistro one night, which had a lovely ambience and reasonable.
The steam room stone steps were fairly high up. Just a suggestion to have a plastic hand rail to assist those who aren't so agile. The Bistro could do with a bit more variety, a few more pasta dishes, and chicken on the grill menu. One thing that did concern me was a little step as you step out onto the balcony in our room.Could be a tripping hazard.
