No parking spaces available, broken bed and shower in one room, cold shower in the other. Music so loud that we could feel the vibration through the floor and beds. Also bathroom door vibrated with music making additional noise of its own! This continued until 1am, I had been on the road since 6am and had a very busy day, and faced another busy day the next. Instead of waking refreshed I was absolutely exhausted. The icing on the cake came at breakfast when staff charged for breakfast even though it had already been paid for. Its a Premier Inn for me from now on, and if not available a Travel lodge - less noise even if you have stag and hen parties on your floor.

It seemed to be clean and we had a family room Everything was fine apart from a wedding reception was taking part under our room...we were told this on arrival that it would finish at midnight..it did not finish until 1 30am.. I have 4 young children who could not sleep..the room was shaking from the noise levels.. It was most frustrating as we don't often go away as a family. So it ended up being a weekend away I would rather forget about .

The location with regard to London Underground The hotel is very "tired" in need of refurbishment. The breakfast was very ordinary, tinned fruit and cereals. Our stay also clashed with a wedding party which was unlucky for us getting a good night's sleep. I think as a budget hotel and a bit of luck with other bookings, the County Hotel is fine.

Ease of booking Friday night when returned to hotel, obviously there was a music event going on you could here the music from one floor up, we decided that we would not be able to sleep and found the venue over 30's night and joined in, we had a fantastic night - maybe not what we expected - maybe you should advertise this as a plus You may not want to stay at this hotel if you want to sleep before 1.00am in the morning, because of the loud music

On arrival I left my iPad on the bar and when I noticed it missing and returned for it 30 minutes later I was told I had never had it with me and there was no sign of it. When I sent a signal to it causing it to make a sound by the time I walked back to the bar it was on the bar. Draw your own conclusions.

It was cheap, only plus Smoke filled rooms in no smoking family rooms. Second non smoking room also sunk of smoke, with empty condom packet left on the bedside table with a tissue and plastic cup. Not what you want a two year old to have in reaching distance. Also party/function booked in, so loud noise all night until just after midnight, no warning of this until after checking in. Staff not helpful or willing to help, their certainly didn't go the extra mile and didn't seem bothered or interested in making my stay an enjoyable one. I suppose you get what you pay for, this was a very cheap hotel for London just a shame it was cheap in every way of the word.

the location was good as it was near to our daughter's lodgings. our room was situated near to the lift and not adequately sound proofed ,so we could hear everyone entering and exiting which was annoying, also inconsiderate people being very loud walking past our room into the early hours of the morning ,we were woken up several times during the night the last recalled was at 4.30 am which made me very angry i felt like going out the door to tell them to be quiet but didn't as I would have most probably got abuse plus i was tired and wanted to sleep. also noisey radiators.however we have stayed here before and our stay was ok, so to be fair it was the location of the room so check it out!

Quiet room, large room, well decorated, comfortable bed, good price. Full of "builders". Smell of burgers in ground floor areas on arrival. Reception staff could have been a little more friendly; perhaps it was the language? Strange arrangement of light switches in the bedroom - took several attempts to find out which did what.

We stayed at the County Hotel, because we were meeting family the next day for a trip to Cornwall and had to have an early start. We used to live in the area and then moved to Canterbury, Kent about 6 years ago. It was very quiet and clean and would definitely stay again if the need arose. We were delighted with the room, it was very clean and comfortable and especially liked the extra large bed.

We stayed twice recently and our first visit was impressive for the money paid. Clean, modern room with very comfortable beds. Breakfast was also nice and a nice relaxed atmosphere in the hotel. The second time we stayed here we had a less modern room which felt a tad dingey compared to the more modern one on our first stay. The electric shower wasn't very good and the room not as big or nice. This room also cost us more than the first time we stayed which was a much nicer room.

Location Nothing, upon arrival I was told that there was a Christmas party being held fro 9pm until 1am. This was not advised when I first booked the room, had I known about this I would have chosen to stay somewhere else. Due to the party we could not sleep until gone 1am, and was then woken up by 8am, as the cleaners were hoovering. Theworst stay i have ever had in a hotel.

Nice staff and a good location. At weekends the noise at night from the function rooms is awfull and you cannot sleep through it. The central heating system is also very noisey and I had to get up at 4.30 on the Friday morning as I could not sleep due to the the noise comeing from the radiators and pipes. If you bang the radiator it stops for a couple of minutes but then starts again, this was a big let down on what should have been a relaxing weekend break.

My first fealing was that it was a dhss hotel, used for housing homeless people by the Social Security. The two nights that I stayed there were functions that run until 1pm each night with loud music. The function rooms are on the 1st floor and I was situated on the second floor, above the function. The only choice was to stay up past 1pm to avoid the loud music. There was a young couple requesting a refund as they were also above the function room and wanted to move to another hotel, they were refused. Charging guest £6 and hour for internet usage is a ripp-off. They also tried to charge me more that the price quoted by booking.com until I complained.

Bed comfy. Room clean. Staff friendly enough, Buffet hot breakfast plentiful. Some rowdy and disrespectful guests. A lot of noise from adjacent room throughout the night which in the end we complained about and staff did come up. Not the hotels fault at all.
